  1. she might make 24, but personally i dont think theres alot of growing left in her going by the age.
  2. Remember what happened to Rudie, he went into shock thats got to be unlucky to have that happen to a dog. i wouldnt like to attempt to guess what the odds would be of that happing.
  3. i usally feed about 5 or 6 hours before going out. but my young dog seems to need to be fed 8 or 10 hours before.
  4. just like to say it was my first ever time at the show. decent weather and a good day out. thankyou to those who organised it
  5. thanks for the lead and collar ss it was spot on.
  6. there no dout what so ever it does make a difference, and i believe that the mother should not be the greyhound, , a mule is a horse x with a donky,i think the mother is the horse ( but not sure) by doing it the other way round and making the sire the horse they look different, then they become an hinny not a mule, before any one says were talking about dogs im afraid were all the same there no dout what so ever it does make a difference, and i believe that the mother should not be the greyhound, , a mule is a horse x with a donky,i think the mother is the horse ( but not sure) by doing i
  7. pup looks in fine fettle mate atb with him.
  8. personally i think its important to look at the mother as i tend to think that most of the pups inherit her personality and guts alot of the time and they also get some shape from her aswell. imo if you put a greyhound dog over a alsation bitch i have noticed the pups seem to have a squarer head similar to the bitch. if the greyhound is the mother the pups seem to have the slender more racier head of the greyhound bitch. i would say the size follows the mother to a extent aswell, a greyhound over a bull bitch throws alot of pups nearer to the bulls size and stamp (heavier build) where
  9. hes a bright little dog. fairplay to the girl and pudsey they done well.
  10. imo a pup grows at its fastest for the first 6 months and by then has done a large portion of its growing. from 6 months up until 12 months the dog can/will still grow in height. how much depends on the breed and size of the dog. then generally it fills out a touch and matures upto 24months. mental maturity does vary in different breeds.
  11. She is 22in Trigger and slowing down me think's.. good luck with her, sound as though shes doing o.k at the moement. looking forward to hearing/seeing how she turns out. she will be plenty big enough to put the bunnies away by the time shes stopped growing. atb trigger
  12. i would much rather pass away a hour or two with that Megan fox. having said that i wouldnt mind being able to pas a hour or two with any of those women.
  13. nice looking pup that millet. roughly what height is she now.
  14. ive seen a borzoi/lurcher last summer it looked a nice sort of dog.
  15. this bitchs mum was a lab her sire was a collie greyhound of what percentage i dont know. a all round bitch.
  16. fasted dog in guinness book of records is actually a saluki i have read that the saluki is the fastest dog after around 1000 yards. whippets the fastest upto 100yds then the greyhound upto a 1000 or so yards then the saluki takes over.
  17. as you say about 50 when you got to it. you would have needed to travel faster than the animal to get to it.
  18. good luck with your pup that 1 we saw was (dutch sheperd) was a cracker, built like a feckin tank lol very strong dogs .? i remember it. it was a smart looking animal.
  19. my thoughts exactly simo In some cases yes for certain types of dog maybe. But the point that is being made i think is...keeping the litter tight and straight..no pups throwing too much of bull or collie etc etc..when all he wants is a GSD X Good running dog..not a GSD X Lurcher that could go iether way with what the pups might throw to from the parentage. If he keeps it simple he know what he,s gonna get more or less...if you complicate the mix with percentages of other dogs etc etc..he might not get what he wants. Why take any chances ? surely that would be a better outcross for
  20. yes you can. I am fairly sure all vets can do them, from what i can gather theres a lot of paper work involved in doing them. so most vets just say they cant do them
  21. i was talking to a lad the other day and he reckons there has been koi and common carp caught in the local stretch of river in the last 12 months.
  22. she should be going to Maxhardcore kennels ( Razzmatazz) very good dog brother to (England Expects) Top proven greyhounds imo Razzmatazz is as good a choice as any i am pretty sure i have read England Expects record on this forum some where and hes also a good dog so the breeding appears to be good.
  23. if you just put a picture of your dog/pup usally the first one or two replies goes, nice dog/pup hows it bred so i reckon thats why people do it.
