    ive havent done loads of ferreting but my best day was 33 that was 2 of us. never been near it before or since it was one of those days when everything just went well. i didnt expect to see 33 rabbits that day let alone catch them which made it all the better.

    my father and his friends hunted so i pretty much always had lurchers guns and ferrets round me and a large variatey of game, so i guess running dogs and hunting was going to be in me. i was always out climbing trees bird nesting. down the local brook fishing for the trout. i can remember there was one stream that used to almost dry up in the summer months so i would go there tickling the trout that were trapped in the tiny pools that were left. the good old days lol when you could freely go out as a kid and do those things without getting into serious trouble.

    bird popped over to mine lastnight with Todd we give Todd a couple of slips on some rabbits just to calm down and take the edge of him. we then decided to let my pup have a couple of runs and another field later there was a squatter sat out in the field so off goes the pup and hits him straight out the squat, he retrieves him back we carried on round the rest of the walk which had a very few lamp shy rabbits there so we only ended up with a total of 3 bunnies in the bag. after getting back to the car i decided to try one more spot on the way home. we walked round this particular ar

    great write up that mate. ive found out who owns all the alpackers. spoke to there son who was about 30 but not the full shilling, he seems to think it shouldnt be a problem to get on the ground just have to go back tomorrow and clear it with his folks. fingers crossed it should be a tidy day there.

    after giving my pup a good rest for a while i decided tonight would be the night that i would give him a couple runs on the lamp. i jumped into the car and drove to my chosen spot for a small walk and hopefully i would get the dog a couple of runs. the weight he has put on due to his rest had made a slight bit of difference to how agile he was which i expected, it didnt take long before he settled down and started to catch. i finished the night with 8 in the bag which i was pleased with as hes only 11 and a half months. i got home and put tonights score in the book with the rest of hi

    i ve just seen on the t.v that whitney houston has been found dead in the beverly hills hilton hotel. i am not sure hows she died yet, but i thought she was one hell of a singer and had a voice second to none in her day.
