  1. i wouldnt like to even try and guess how many rabbits my old dog has caught over his lifetime. but i reckon if someone sent me a card for Xmas with a pound in for every rabbit he had actually caught then i reckon i would be a very happy man.
  2. i prefer brains to speed, as has already been said in most cases the more speed you get the less stamina you get. i like to know in the back of my mind that you have a dog thats got it in the tank for those one off nights when you turn up to the ground you have chose to lamp and everything is just right the weathers spot on and the quarry is out. personally i like to take advantages of those nights and push my dog and see what he can do.

    Feck it!

youve certainly made mince meat out of that lol.
  4. he will make them what ever size you want mate.got him to make me a couple of smaller leads not so long ago, i use them for rabbit carriers they are spot on. top service with a fast delivery
  5. feck me some of the youths/chavs will love love that. i can just imagine some of them bragging about having a asbo and doing time for owning a dangerous dog lol. on a serious not i dont see it working the prisons are full enough as it is.
  6. sheep farms are your best change to find the shortest grass this time of year mate. horse paddocks also have nice short grass on them abd the rabbits seem to love them, some people dont like lamping there dogs amongst horses and others will. its just down to personal preference.
  7. i dont think it is mate. i dont think they spread parvo when they have had the jab. a lad i know had a litter of pups about 3 years ago and was stuggleing to to sell them, he wanted to keep one but was worried about them getting parvo as they were getting on a bit. i asked my vet if he could just jab the one pup he was keeping and leave the others without it spreading through the rest of the litter. to which my vet replied he could the others would not catch it. the lad jabbed the pup and kept it in with the rest of the litter and they were all fine.
  8. i take mine out in the feilds the next day mate never had any problems. the vets tell you not to take them out for a fortnight after there jabs just to cover there own asses.
  9. should be o.k mate. he will feel much better now, and he will grow better.
  10. forgot to say i always leave my lamp pluged in when charging because imo you need to use the lamp connector plug the least amount of times as possibble because they are shit. so i just plug it in and leave it
  11. i always cut the tape off from around my conector everytime i have finished, the reason being i have the lid closed on the battery pack when out and i need to open it to put the charger in. those deben plugs have always been a pain in the arse even on there other battery packs. but ive learnt to live with it and make my own mod cons
  12. your spot on there strong stuff. it does piss you off after paying all thet money for something it doesnt peform properly, but to be honest ive found all deben stuff is good as long as you make some small alterations.
  13. standard plug on right mine on leftt
  14. forgot to say i also added some more plastic round the conector to make it stronger and square in shape. will get some pics for you
  15. ive never had any major problems with mine had it 2 years now. the conection in the plug was a bit dodgy but i cured that with a bit of electrical tape round it each time i go out and its been absoloutly fine.
  16. well done moll and co. looks a good enjoyable day, good write up and decent pics as usall
  17. looks like theres alsation in that dog. nice looking animal though, how old is she?
  18. fairplay that suprised me. i put the misses postecode in, just incase there was some catch to it lol.
  19. well done vin, nice little outing that mate. sounds a bit easier going than where we were last.
  20. i was under th impression you was letting her kill them perhaps i miss read it. theres nothing wrong with taking her out at that age what so ever, keep that bit up mate.. imo it helps produce a better dog in the long run. i take my pups out with me on hunting trips as soon as they have had there jabs at 8 weeks old
  21. not a bad little outing. just one thing makes me curiose, how come you are letting your 4 month old bitch kill the rabbits after the older dog has caught them.
  22. i think you have gone about it the right way. theres two hills by me that i ferret on the one is a common and owned by the parishinors i went to a commoners meeting and got voted in as pest controller and its wrote in the minutes. so i am officially the pest controller for that common. the other hill is owned by 3 people 2 farmers and a lord somebody lol, i only have permission on certain parts of it off the 2 farmers so i can do some of it
