  1. it was nice to be able to take all the gear just incase and not have to carry any of it.
  2. like you say vin it was a nice relaxing day no stress we just plodded along nice and steady. ive just got back in from a night shift with young buster and picked up another 28 rabbits. its a shame the pocket of rabbits i was in wasnt abit bigger then perhaps i could have had a few more, ive had a good hunting session today/tonight with 12 ferreted and 28 lamped rabbits. all in all not a bad day.
  3. numbers in my are aint what they used to be but having said that i have had a good haul out of them over the last 10 years. i think disease and rimfires combined with the increase in price of head shot rabbits have played its part and had one of the biggest impacts in my area.
  4. id sell the story. if you happened to catch/shot one you would then become the leading big cat expert in britain i bet, as you was the only one to ever catch a big cat in this country my betting is you would be able to make a few quid for doing feck all after that.
  5. more dogs aint the answer mate, you just need better ones
  6. i managed 30 didnt have the rain we was forecast thank feck with the wind that was blowing.
  7. no moon and a slight breeze here, been keeping a eye on the local weather forecast all day and the wind is suppose to get upto 24mph with rain by midnight. rains in from 9 until 3am so i am going to pick my young nephew up and take him for a shine for a couple of hours. just hope the weather does as forecast should catch a couple of bunnies.
  8. got a few good memorys photographed there Aaron well don the dog certainly appears to do the job for you.

    Tea

i havent had loose tea for years used to have it all the time when i was a kid. use teabags now but ive still got the habbit of leaving the last mouth full of tea in the bottom of the cup because there was always a few bits of tea that made it through the tea strainer, it always left the last mouthfull tasting like shit from the bits. drink decafe now and still by the bucketfull lol
  10. great outing that. it spoiled my lamping a time or two when the car has been playing up, i could never concentrate on working the dog properly as i am thinking about my journey home and weather or not i can make it. got me national breakdown recovery now for 50 something quid puts the mind at rest a little i can tell you.
  11. as you say her match record speaks for itself, i believe she done the buisness.
  12. linner ferrets mate. usally a big feck off hob on a long length/ball of string. i bet ferreting was hard going them days i know one thing for sure i wouldnt have like to have been on the shovel for the local terrier men pre locator days.
  13. rays still as keen as feck hope i am equally as keen when i am his age.
  14. it didnt turn out a bad night in the end bag wise ray, if the rabbits on the ground we walked the first half the night hadnt had so much fecking lamp from whoever has been going there we would have done alot better. also if buster had been on form for the first half the walk it would have helped when buck was 5 nil ahead i was starting to wonder what the feck was going on. but you cant catch every one you run and thats the way it is lol. what was the roads like on the way home? i didnt think we was going to make it back to mine when we come across that one flood on the road, ive never seen
  15. just keep on taking the dog out the penny should drop eventually.

    Be Careful

feck me ray thats abit of bad luck. as has allready been said the bank will sort it out and give him the money back.
  18. dont know about the food you are talking about. but my experience with dry food having fed expensive and cheap that there is no substitute for raw meat. in my experience raw meat is needed in a dogs diet when working regular. ive found my dogs appear to have slightly better stamina when being fed meat along with there dry food. the dry food i use now is 24% protien fed with raw minced chicken, tripe or scraps from the butchers he seams to perform well enough.
  19. Its because the tyres are worn! I don't know, some of these kelpie types are pretty powerful, and keeping that on tarmac would indeed take some doing! don't believe it..........it must have hit a fence could well of, its abvious the deer was as green as feck.
  20. was there a electric fence near by, did he have a shock just before his behaviour changed? my old dog freaks out when there is electric fences in the same field that hes working in as hes had a couple of bad shocks when he was younger, i can almost tell everytime theres a electric fence near by from his behaviour. the fecker seems to know if they are switched on or not.
  21. yes mate i take them every time i go, leave them off the lead and let them get on with it.
