  1. ive taken a couple of quick pics with my new 600d today and i think me and you are in for some serious competition
  2. good entry level camera. enjoy took this with a canon 600d. BITING JILL FERRET.JPG JILL FERRET.JPG MONO.JPG i like the first pic
  3. my old dog is the same mate hes 9 now and on the odd few occasions i take him out now hes still the same.
  4. ive been out with dogs that get fed on raw rabbits regular and they have been soft mouthed, so i wouldnt have thought so.
  5. ive got a striker 140 lamp which i put the striker 170 lense on at times and personaly i think they are o.k. i run a 30 watt bulb in my lamp
  6. the old dog ive got now use to take feather until i was visiting someone and he come trotting out of there pigeon loft as proud as punch with one of there top racing pigeons. he had to be corrected for his efforts and never took feather again even. if he was working with other lurchers that caught them he wouldnt touch a bird. now my younger dog will hunt up pheaseant in the day but hasnt caught any yet. however he will take partridge in the lamp and out of it if he scents some near by whilst out lamping. i grew up with a lab lurcher and she was the best feather lurcher ive ever seen.
  7. feck me ray youve got to much time on your hands since injurying your shoulder
  8. i use your standard british army camo net. my mate has a tank net and it makes a good size hide for 2 and can still be doubled up to make it thick enough to darken you off.
  9. thanks for the advice everyone. i will be needing alot more help in the near future, ive just got back home with my new 600d from curries only went to have a look and feel of the camera and got a little carried away and bought the fecking thing lol. misses didnt look to pleased with me spending the money when the garden needs some money spending on it.
  10. the secound half is on in 5 minutes ronnie is looking good to win with the score being 7 frames to 1 in ronnies favour. theres one thing you can say about selby is he will fight it out to the end. ronnie is on good form and is making some cracking pots. i am looking forward to watching it.
  11. i agree. if you did get them lined up like that there feet and legs wouldnt be so uniform, imo they are far to neat and tidy to be stood facing like that.
  12. i am wanting to get a decent camera to take out with me on the odd days out and about with the dog. i have been looking at canon cameras but have next to feck all experience with cameras. i am going to go with canon but i am just not sure which would be the best for me. i like the 600d and was wondering would it be straight forward enough for me to use being a beginner and good enough to take high quality photos. i known its not as straight forward as buying a camera pointing at something pressing the button then hey presto a top quality image.
  13. i thought it was a very impresive shot. if you read my post lads i never took the shot it was the gentleman who had invited me out. however if you a confident marksman why not make a head shot?
  14. they will hit stubble turnips
  15. Yes I would post it i wont be offering has much as skinner mate so thats me out the bidding.
  16. i would put a picture up of my malamute lurcher but hes not 3 years old yet still caught his fair share of game though.
  17. looks nice and simple to use, the tosoro sidewinder has just the discrim and sensitivity on it and is a good little detector thats simple to use. will you post it?
  18. i am a dog man through and through mate but i had the opertunity to go for a deer stalk and thought what the hell i will go for a look and see what its all about. the lad who took me had been pointing out distances to me in the past explaining many times that if there was a deer stood over by so and so i could kill it from here and always thought yeah right. well we managed to find a herd of fallow stags. they were stood a couple of hundred yards away. anyway he takes the shot and one drops and the others run alittle then stand a stare. they soon fecked of with me jumping up and down shout
  19. ive been out with a lad and his lakeland terrier and and seen that catch rabbits on the lamp. also seen a jackrussell X beddie/whippet catching rabbits on the lamp.
