  1. havent seen many squabs as of yet although i am sure there is plenty about.
  2. Them wolves dont eat Redmills or Gain complete . . . This is whats puzzling to me. . . Should we use both RAW and complete...this seems the way most are doing it. I havnt given my pup any complete so far from 8 weeks old...its been totally RAW and she,s looking well on it..But I also worry that im not doing her the best I possibly can by not giving her some Complete too...? I've been looking upon Minced chicken carcass as the complete (kibble) part of the diet and then adding beef/lamb/rabbit/chicken livers / fish and lots of lamb/mutton fat plus assorted raw veggies I've been mixing
  3. as has allready been said they are probably on the clover. i have been walking a patch of ground (grass with cattle on) with the air riffle over the past week and a half and the pigeons have built up from about 20 to a good 100+
  4. true mate. imo you shouldnt need to carry a marsbar with you. seen dogs drop before double figures have been caught, mars bars are for me lol but sometimes will give the dog one tried feeding the dog a light meal a good few hours before never ran the same so seems to work for me
  5. true mate. imo you shouldnt need to carry a marsbar with you. seen dogs drop before double figures have been caught,
  6. Out of interest how long have they not eaten for when you lamp them? That morning or the night before? Cheers. night before ive seen one or two dogs collapse on nights out and start fitting and they have all been run on right empty stomachs.
  7. always feed my dogs a few hours before i go lamping the dog i run at the moement likes to be fed 6 hours before i go out. always feed them a good meal as soon as i get back in aswell.
  8. perhaps you should have tittled the topic dog worrying, as the ewe dont look worried to me lol.
  9. never had a problem with the batteries, always had problems with the fecking conectors. never had any problems with the lithium charger either.
  10. good old thl lol. omg its something different, they cant possible be anygood. shot down in flames by all the experts in that cross. a bit pricey admittley but theres no reason you couldnt take one ferreting.
  11. i enjoy the winter months because i can get out and do a shit load of lamping and ferreting. the countdown to winter has started and to be honest i am looking forward to it. roll on hunting season
  12. i have recently brought a pre charged bsa hornet 22 pellet gun. never had a pre charged before and i am impressed. however although i am killing alot of stuff with the gun, i am finding that the odd pellet is straying well out of zero. i am using accu pells and was just wondering if anyone is familiar with the bsa hornet and could recomend a decent pellet to try. thanks trigger2
  13. ive just brought one 3 days ago but the 22 version. i have found it to be very accurate and have killed a bit of stuff with it already. mines got the whierhach silencer on it and is very quiet compared to my matesw ultra. i looked at a ultra but come back with the hornet as it just felt a nicer gun.
  14. who??earlyriser ..Never heard of him........!!!You need to be up early to see him mate i've read a fair few of his posts on here and i think his new user name should be "Morning Glory" lol From what I've read of his its usually aimed at his enemy deerman. So I think he should call himself the opposite........ cheapman it goes like this, get banned as earlystart, make up a new account earlierstart, make 5 normal posts, post a picture of my malx, say its caught a few rabbits, add the obligatory filling the freezer comment, when the post starts to get stale pm a few lads to wind them up so
  15. nice one gents. i bet your feet were fecking hot in them wellies Tomo.
  16. i like all dogs of all flavours but my favourite is the bigger dog 27+ I just like watching a big dog work, speed turning just the pure effort of them, but I've also seen a 19" beddy wip take fallow and regular as you like. Reason is because it can. But still rather the bigger type Lurcher, once has hold it's in the bag. If only we could still do this. once a big lurcher has got hold it dont mean its in the bag. imo with large deer it aint in the bag until its dead, seen deer get pulled over and still manage to get up and go. unless the dogs got a decent grip/bite they cant always hold them
  17. its nice to see pups out and about. looks like you might have a tidy dog on your hands in the future.
  18. i use the lightforce lance with a 14amp lithium battery its a good piece of kit. i run a 30watt bulb in my lamp which helps keep the battery use down, the only time ive had my battery run flat was when it got old and needed replacing.
  19. i use thew deben 14amp lithium but only run a 30 watt bulb, i lamped a bag of 71 rabbits last season and only used 2 L.E.D the 22amp lithium with a striker lamp should be more than enough i would have thought . its the best money i ever spent on lamping equipment
  20. thats a shame that mate. he was a lovely looking dog and would probably of made a good mooching companion with some time spent with him. i liked the little dog and seen some potential there. what happened to him? send a pm if you dont want to put anything on here.
  21. shes a smart looking bitch now millet. a retrieve back to ten yards away is decent enough its better than no retrieve at all, especially on those nights when you take decent bags.
  22. my old dog is 8 and a half years old never had a problem with his dew claws and hes spent 100s of hours out in the field. however i think they should be removed.
  23. don't no why the girl can't even f*****g cook a good meal get rid then. get one that can cook, they can all do the rest.
  24. what height and weight do they make b.g? ive only ever seen one.
