  1. You could quite easily get a top bred pup imported from the states to the UK, and still be way ahead on price. Most of the bigger breeders regularly ship / fly pups all across the USA, as well as abroard, and are set up for it. You can get a very well bred lab pup for around $1500 US (or less). When I emigrated to Canada from uk it cost me less than 500 quid to ship the dog with us, including vets and inoculations etc. so would imagine it would be similar going the other way. Just something to think about.
  2. His first (and second retrieve), it wasnt really planned as was just taking him out and getting him used to the decoys and a bit more breaking to gunfire, but a teal and spoony came in so let my son take them and he retrieved them perfect.
  3. My 6 mnth old lab Oscar, first gundog I've owned but training seems to be coming along nicely
  4. My 350 will pull a trailer off road no problem, (just not that fast) I would imagine a 250 would be fine for moles
  5. I've got a 2006 350 honda (and a new 420), the 350 has been an awesome little quad, only ever needed oil changes. I have had it nearly 5 years I think, my 2 teenage sons use it mostly and they dont go easy on it, what do you want to know?
  6. I would also add that 40 mesh deep (even at only 3 1/2" full mesh) would be a nightmare to handle, you could cut the net in half (lengthways) and still have enough depth. I would agree with the others though the mesh is to small.
  7. Just found this guy on youtube, seems to have loads of mid to late 90's stuff.
  8. On the drive to the mark, who filled the motor up? Always felt bass could pick up on the fumes......
  9. Socks my old whippet greyhound treed 2 black bears, (both by accident while camping), it was just luck that neither stood there ground or chased her back to me and the wife lol...... Not the best photo but this was her with a shot one...
  10. Yep looks like a color phase black, and agreed, not sure it would of ended as well with a grizzly with Cubs, still very brave of her though
  11. Yep true, but i would bet there is a far larger % of the population here that hunts, (and owns trail cams etc) compared to the uk. On the flip side though, there is an awful lot more wild, remote areas here as well....
  12. Picture is legit mate, Guys name is Steve Ecklund: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/steve-ecklund-cougar-alberta-1.4459546 https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-42447045 Edited to add the BBC link
  13. I don't have an opinion either way on whether big cats are resident or not in the UK, but can say that over here where i hunt, there is a (supposedly) fairly large population of cougars (mountain lion). In the 9years i have been here, I have never seen one in the flesh, and no one i hunt with has, and some of those lads have hunted around there for 35 years. I have ran 4 game cameras on and off for the last 5 years and never had a photo of one either, and never seen one dead on the road. But they are around, the lads that hunt / tree them with dogs get them, the ranchers lose cattle to them,
  14. Great photos KimE, looks very similar to here in Canada with spruce, birch, poplar and beavers, , amazing really when you are approx 6200km away as the crow flies (straight line).?
  15. Fred is partly right, the z references the twist, you get s twist or z twists, depending if it is twisted to the left or the right.
  16. Agree it's not a nice watch mate but cant put to much blame on the owner in my opinion, especially with no background to the vid. There is loads of wolves round here but they are highly nomadic and a pack usually covers a large area. It is pretty rare for them to go in someone's yard as unless they are in a park (where they are protected) as pretty much everyone shoots them on site if given a chance. I'm not saying it never happens, but even on farms or ranches out in the bush it's pretty rare for them to go near humans if they are hunted. Coyotes are different and even though hunted will l
  17. We see them here quite often in winter, and mostly they can be pretty faint or dull and slow moving. Occasionally though they are really bright like on Ted's photos, and those are the nights they seem to move quicker across the sky. Been here 9 years and have only seen them really bright and dancing twice to give you an idea of frequency though....
  18. Laptop batteries contain 18650s, same as power tools strip old ones and check / test them. Most of the laptop batteries I've stripped have been Panasonic or Samsung.
  19. This place was banging back in the 90's
  20. My old man always said if you spill any salt, you throw a pinch over your left shoulder to blind the devil
  21. Trump dies from the virus. He goes to Hell where the Devil is waiting for him. "I don't know what to do," says the Devil. "You're on my list but I have no room for you. But you definitely have to stay here, so I'll tell you what I'm going to do. I've got three people here who weren't quite as bad as you. I'll let one of them go, but you have to take their place. I'll even let YOU decide who leaves." Trump thinks that sounded pretty good so he agrees. The devil opens the first room. In it is Richard Nixon and a large pool of water. He keeps diving in and surfacing empty-handed over and
  22. Avoid launching on shallow beaches until you know what you are doing, grease your rollers before you go, get the boat ready out of the way at the top of the slip out of the way so you dont block it for everyone, watch for proper slippy green slime or mud on a steep slip, make sure your bung is in, all straps and ropes are off, keep your winch strap on and let the boat down on the winch if the slip is steep, keep a rope from the bow tied to your trailer or to a helper so boat does drift off, avoid low water (and on some slips high water can cause a nasty chop), try and pick a calm day, watch c
  23. Fair play that's good to see, what part of the country was that in mate out of interest?
  24. I have seen them come up now and again on findafishing boat https://www.findafishingboat.com/es-list/fishing-gear-for-sale Or if you want new polypot do them https://www.polypotcreels.co.uk/polypot-r-shrimp-prawn-pot.html The polypot ones fish well but if a crab crawls into the entrance and sits there no more prawn will go in, so if you can check them fairy fairly regularly
