  1. Really sorry for your loss Ray
  2. We are fishing a big lake called cold lake mate, think we are around 3 miles towards the middle in 130ft of water. Ice is only 16" and there is a load of heaves with open water, didn't want to risk bringing tge truck on
  3. Lake trout Chaff, we have had 3 and lost 3 others, nothing big this is the best so far around 25", packing down in a minute though.
  4. The Doctor said: "The good news is I can cure your headaches...The bad news is that it will require castration. You have a very rare condition which causes your testicles to press up against the base of your spine and the pressure creates one hell of a headache. The only way to relieve the pressure is to remove the testicles." Joe was shocked and depressed. He wondered if he had anything to live for. He couldn't concentrate long enough to answer, but decided he had no choice but to go under the knife. When he left the hospital, he was headache free for the first time in over 20 years, but

Yep it was a bit nippy here over the weekend Mackam, -42degC without windchill Saturday morning, -50 with the wind, coldest I've seen it the last 12 yrs.

  9. If your heading to BC for a big chinook Mackem, I would head north, Rivers Inlet does monster size fish every year, there or Haida Gwaii would be my choice. Or if u fancy something a a bit different you could try catch a genuine tyee in a rowing boat off Campble River (the Tyee club of BC). 10. My old lurcher tangled with 3 porcupines the first couple of years we were here before she realised not to go near them. It was no fun pulling the quills out for me or her. They call them survival food here because they are about the only thing u can catch and kill with nothing but a stick, but most people shoot them on sight due to risk to dogs and cattle....
  11. Went back to the uk last month for a fortnight to visit family, my first time back in 9 years. I think the biggest shock was the volume of traffic on the roads, and just how busy everywhere was. We seemed to be constantly stuck in traffic, (even midweek during the day), on roads we never used see a soul on. To be honest the roads didn't seem that much worse than when I left, but they were shocking when I left from memory.
  12. Only second time out this season, ended with a 3 man limit of geese with most been speckelbelly, couple of ducks as well, dog did really well.
  13. How do u use the Rickshaw, row them out and have them breakaway when a shark picks up the bait?
  14. Our first time out this season, ended with 4 geese and 9 ducks, dog did well
  15. I try and get out to the river fraser at least once a year, today was our last day of a 4 day trip. We ended up with 14 sturgeon with my sons been the biggest at 8ft 1. My best was 7ft 6 and my mates best a 6ft 10. We also had a few salmon but wasted a load of time trying for salmon as the run is only just starting. My mate also had an albino which is quite rare.
  16. Didn't time it but think around 35 mins Chaff, I use the boat to get downstream of them where I can, it usually tires them out quicker. I will offer him a beer but he probably won't take it he's only 14 lol
  17. Youngest son just had this he's made up, 8 ft 1inch
