    Just under it,thats where the boat is tied up. it seems to be fishing well the last couple of year Friend of mine had a 9lb brown trout on lene last week.

    Dug more in a morning Not bragging or biging my dog up as he is not the greatest dog I hav dug to but I have had 8 in 1 dig couple of year back,but if the man is happy with his lot then fair play to him,ps,the bitch looks well for her age.

    Had a good morn on my local lake earlier today.Eamon my mate arrived at 10 and after a cuppa we set of,10 min later we were loading the gear into the boat.We started trolling down the left shore known as the pump hpuse shore and it wasn't long before Eamon had the 1st brown trout in the boat,nice fish about 11/2.We continued on and it was my turn next with a fish of 2lb and almost straight away again I was in this time a pike of 7lb wich was released back in.Then Eamon struck again with a nice 2lb brownie and then it was myself again.This time it was a better take and I knew it was a good fish

    Some say they would not breed of a non worker,myself included,but just say you have a dog or bitch with well proven blood lines and when they are about 5-6 year old and have done everything you have asked off them you then want to have a litter of them to keep the line going.Then say the bitch has we will say 6 pups all doing well and the diging season kicks in again.Now you take your proven dog and bitch out when season starts and BANG one of them don't want to know,let it be the dog or the bitch 1 has thrown in the towel,you try it again and same result not interested,but you still have 6 pu

    Get to know someone that is into terriers a good few year and ask if you could tag along with them when the diging starts back up,both you and your dogs will learn a hell of a lot more from been out and about than you will from any book no matter who the auther was.

    I personally would not breed of a non working bitch no matter what the lines were not that I breed very often anyway.If I was going to breed a bitch it would have to be well fit to finish a fox in the ground on a regular basis and also the stud dog would have to be of a similar standard,not everyone's cup of tea but that's the type I like and that's the standard I try to keep..

    Had a little black n tan Lakeland bitch years ago and 1st time she was bred was to a black n tan lakie dog and she through a white pup which turned out to be a complete headcase work wise,hard as nails.The 2nd and last time I bred of her was to a jet black fell dog and again she produced a white pup and again this pup turned out a very hard dog in his work which was his downfall in the end.

    Think the thread is about earth dogs nothing else,but many the terrier has given its life under the sod when it could have came away,would you not call them game.

    In and around my local area the hare seems to be making a good come back and it is mainly due to the local coursing club who police the area against illigal coursing.I have personally seen gangs of lads with lurchers sliping 3-4 dogs on a hare so what chance has it got.These gangs are not local or not into proper coursing with there lurchers.They have been told to stay away by the local club and also the cops and wildlife officer but they give little heed to anyone including the farmers that own the land.I am not knocking the genuine lurcher lads,i keep a lurcher myself and have done for many
