  1. As been said get him/her out ferreting pinning to nets by far the best way of teaching a up an coming young un what the crack is while teaching the dog it’s a team effort between you an dog while building confidence at the same time. Tbh Id not take a beddy whippet out Id just got Id want to know we were friends an on the same page beddy whippets can be stubborn little fuckers I couldn’t think of nothing worse than slipping a beddy whippet that there’s no control over in to darkness after gear for is to miss an hunt up like feck an me be burning the fields down with rays of lamp light from the

  6. Think that’s right 16hrs or less won’t effect benefits
  7. I don’t think I’m modern times a dog living wild would last long without it being noticed it living wild it’d either die of starvation or be killed on the road or shot an rolled in to a ditch. It does sound romantic though but the reason Lurchers catching well is because we put them in the right positions to get them catches
  8. By us last year we kept having sheep stolen these were rare breed miniature sheep the owners give up keeping them in the end two small flocks taken from one little spot an countless other spots sheep were taken in our area a few were butchered in the field’s it’s not surprising with the cost of everything going up it’s becoming survival of the fittest an brazen out there
  9. I like stuff like this I find it interesting tbh I think it’d be worth them teaching stuff like this in schools now days in ( design and technology) with how the worlds going.
  10. Think half the problem is people see what people put on here as face value (can’t go wrong with a beddy whippet) they see that an there sold but In reality you can go completely wrong with a f1 beddy/whippet if you want a dog for running stuff down what it finds rather than a bushing type o dog. But even a beddy whippet that knows the crack will have a 5yr old kid eating dirt if something pops up let alone bull whippets or Wheaton whippets tbh honest I don’t think any of these crosses are suitable for a 5yr old to be walking land with even if it sounds good on here bringing young uns in to th
  11. I think what you pay or what you feed is up to you I only really feed one dog good now days the old un is mainly biscuit fed with the odd bit of meat I remember when it was very economical to feed raw food it was 2 a penny for all sorts i had 4 dogs on the go at one point I don’t think raw nows that economical if your buying in. I still take on a few cockerels a year an cull them for dog food an fallen ewes if there’s no meds in them I still buy a bit tripe duck necks but other than that it’s from the field or human grade meat plus table scraps
  12. Them prices are for people who are easily misled if there stupid enough to pay them prices for a bag of food with a name more fool them they deserve to be fooled my misses mum keeps Saint Bernards they get the best brand name foods these feckers get through some grub she orders half pallet load of food for em but moans of the feed cost I tell her there fat c**ts you feed them to much
  13. If it ain’t f1 finished article there not a Wheaton cross an don’t deserve to be on such a glorious elite post as this

  16. I don’t live a million miles away the people I heard with a opinion are normally ex Londoners that have moved from the city to live rural they complain about everything rural from the sound of cockerels crowing in the distance to a bit of mud on the roads. what there hating is there’s more traffic heading to his farm/shop there still in a rush like they live in the city most people who live round the area are not fussed we think it’s great his farm an his shop because it’s good for the area even better when they take part in a charity Christmas tractor run raising money for a local charity…….C
