  1. It's important these issues are publicised. Had it not been for THL I'd be none the wiser. I do like my HMR but I am mindful of squib rounds.
  2. Biggest George Cross flag I have ever seen in the town centre in Nott's. Happy St George's Day England.
  3. No doubt his favourite involving some young boys, a paedophile as well wasn't he? Not that I'm aware of. LOL. I'm sure there are plenty of unsupported allegations against a man such as him.
  4. Oh and I bet J.Edgar Hoover would have a few good tales to tell as well!
  5. Twelve is a lot off the top of my head... Oppenheimer Einstein Hubble Alexander the Great Paddy Mayne Churchill Montgomery W.D.M Bell Teddy Roosevelt Hemingway JFK Neolithic man Given a few spare seats I'd add Newton, Galileo and any time served 70's SBS operator.
  6. The effects of gravity are the same whether you have a ballistic house brick or a pee shooter. If a large calibre/high energy round ricochets it's generally more dangerous than a small calibre/low energy round. The risk of ricochet though is a different matter. The Home Office are just playing a numbers game. The less people with high power firearms the less chance of accidents. There's nothing logical or fair about it. As far as I'm concerned if someone is considered safe with a rimmy then they are safe with a CF. f**k all the pre-req's and just introduce a simple safe handling certif
  7. Oh that makes sense. Asking on a hunting site if anybody knows an anti Why not, plenty of savvy hunting folk know their antis.
  8. He knocked f**k out of a huntsman and the police have dropped the investigation.
  9. its legal in the uk as well, the problem is actually identifying what is a feral and what is someones pet In Germany any cat found more than 200m from a house is automatically considered feral, and dealt with as such! I wish UK law was so definitive, I was watching one on the farm yesterday, HMR in hand, but wasn't sure at the time of its 'state of ownership'. Just like to be sure first and then discrete later. This time of year is the worst time to have ferals wondering the hedgerows.
  10. Inhumane, LOL, according to who and based on what 'facts'? If using 22 centre fires or whatever they are isnt humane enough for them then use something bigger! I doubt a 15kg Brock hit with a 300winmag would feel much.
  11. You'd have a much better chance finding a deer that's run than a foxYou'll be needing a dog for that then mark my words it be compulsory soonLol HA! But what constitutes a fox tracking dog? Clearly I care more about the poor foxes than deer having a dog that can track those feckers pretty well. I'm just a calous b*****d really, BASC will save my soul. LOL Basc lol they fuckers have already sold your soul to the devil the price was lead based ammunition LOL LOL

  13. Coincidence? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/big-question-kcl/11544853/What-is-the-biggest-threat-facing-the-world-today.html There was also a documentary about the 10 biggest threats to the human race according to some oxbridge think tank. Cutting to the end, they reckon nuclear war is the #1 threat. My opinion... we'll be fine. Our competitiveness is what has made us so successful and is what will keep us adapting to whatever nature throws at us. Its believed there has been times in the history of man when the human population was as low as thousands. We may very well
  14. Well if that's true and not just an inverted snobbery induced rant because you let your dog play hell with another man's livelihood then there's an easy thousand quid for you to collect.
  15. My dogs are my responsibility. Somebody delivering leaflets (no matter the contents/topic) should be safe from harm. If I can't guarantee that then it's my responsibility to prevent them from doing so. Fingers through the letter box is perfectly acceptable as part of normal 'letter delivery' imo, half an arm through would not be, so lets keep things in perspective.
  16. You keep helping out and be useful and interested and you'll more than likely land some shooting. It's just about not being a nob and having half an idea of what the farm/shoot is about and so trusted. If nothing else, just being involved is rewarding in itself for someone that has an interest in it. Those male pheasants are more commonly known as cock birds. The melanistic ones tend to be a bit bigger so it's perfectly acceptable to call them 'Big black cocks'.
  17. Jiggers have you considered doing what the yanks do, field dress and pack out with the joints wrapped in muslin, rather than haul the whole carcass off the hill. Just need a second hand 60+lt rucksack then.
  18. Don't forget a decent ferret. Every time I prick a rabbit I run home for my ferret. Completely unethical to dare shoot rabbits without access to a decent ferret. Fortunately it doesn't happen too often....
  19. LOL, yeah. I wasn't so interested in what the journo had to say as I was a career soldier turning to politics. Can't be bad for British politics?
  20. f**k knows what this chaps politics are but got to be a move in the right direction for UK politics in general. Might interest you Socks. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/general-election-2015/11502940/Can-steely-Dan-Jarvis-be-the-next-Labour-leader.html
  21. My understanding of the parliament act is that it reduces the power of the house of Lords. It'd be no use to us for repeal, the Lords is the only house on our side! LOL. I know it's frustrating folks but the PM doesn't have autonomous control of the UK. He can't do whatever he wants. Our political system is designed to stop that.
  22. I'm not sure when people are going to grasp the fact that Cameron NOT putting the repeal to a vote in the Commons was in our favour. He may have promised it last time, but we failed to give him a majority government so what good would it have done him holding to his word and the vote coming back against repeal? He didn't f**k us, we f****d us by not giving him enough MPs to have a majority pro hunting house of Commons. That's politics....
  23. That's a devious trick! I get my old man to make a batch of plain scons especially, can't stand raisons in them..... I saw your picture and thought "f**k they look good, plain scons". It'd be like biting into a 'jam' donut and then finding out it's a custard! I'm gonna be more careful when tucking into plain scons from now on.
  24. Keep it short, you don't want to have to spend too long in his company .... a few four letter words would suffice and convey the general sentiment.
  25. What's tough? Is a man that has the mental and physical drive to see a violent confrontation to the end no matter the odds or risk but crumbles emotionally when loved ones are in danger, any tougher than a man that mentally breaks under a physically painful/violent situation but has the emotional strength to still operate with perfect objective clarity when his loved ones are in imminent danger? Are they any tougher than a man that can challenge his limits of mental and physical endurance with nothing to gain? That same man might have nothing to offer in a violent situation. I thin
