My god! If I read one more time that the big bang theory is something from nothing I'm going to have a big f***ing bang of my own.

last one was in late 90s there was 2 eclipse in the one week That'll be the one then. Out in my parents front garden with my family and grandparents. I'll never forget it, just like I'll never forget the first comet I ever saw. Natural phenomena like these live with you for ever and inspire kids to investigate the world around them. Experiences like these do more for a child's education than any amount of forced homework will do.

If you ask me, the young woman had been messing about with Paul, flirting and playing up to him, then one night he goes a step further and she cries foul play. He felt shit about betraying his family, which is why he had a bit of an emotional breakdown the next day. Make people live like primitive man and they're gonna act like primitive man. It's all been a bit blown out of proportion. Not like he preyed on a child, or even an adult, just tried his luck with a flirty young woman.

Don't ask me! I once pointed a telescope at the sun to try to project the image onto a piece of paper and in doing so set fire to the telescope! But here's some instructions anyway: http://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/make-pinhole-projector.html And some glasses; http://www.eclipseglasses.co.uk/

For those interested (and for those that aren't, so you don't think the apocalypse has come), there's a solar eclipse next Friday (20th). http://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/solar/2015-march-20 Last time I saw one was when I was a little kid so quite looking forward to it.

I believe they need some sort of a license to take cash donations, so the charity fundraisers you see on the streets and at your door are not legally able to take cash. The charities try to operate with some sort of long term planning, which is why they prefer regular direct debits as opposed to cash donations. Statistically a donor will donate for an average of something like 9 months, this gives the charity better financial stability. Most charities are no different to any other profitable business, they want the most effective means to achieve their goals. If that means direct debit

Not when controlling deer is repeatedly given as the reason for apex predator reintroduction. Watching a dog spin bambi between spinneys in a 50 acre wheat field is great but its sport, not a serious means to halve the deer population. That's all I was getting at. -
Ah, I'm with you now.

Convenience, your financial position, location, difficulty in finding ammo etc etc (it all comes down to money really!) ATB! Then bung fifty quid in the biscuit barrel before offering your FEO a biscuit with his coffee! And that little italic quote wasn't in the guidance you quoted, nor have I read it myself. Only the "purchase of economy" which I have accepted all along.

Or if it was legal to take them without a prohibitively expensive FAC and/or guide. If only there was a way for the average man to hunt deer with nothing more than the landowners permission. Or even Crown land being open end to hunting by the public. Dog men won't bring the deer population under control mate nationally, perhaps localised populations. I'd argue for that to be legalised under a completely different banner, same as bow hunting. If you can afford to build a kennel and feed/school a dog or three for a year or two then I'm sure you afford a stalking setup. It's not the cost that' -

If you read between the lines, I was debating whether or not the bending of the rules would be practical. When passing the distant rfd do you buy 100 or 500 each time? The greyness or ambiguity of some areas of firearms law sometimes force many of us to think this way and I can't help thinking sometimes it's the way the law likes it. Rather than a strict NO in areas where common sense should prevail, the police just don't enforce so rigorously hence my question about who checks ammo. I have a bad habit of only reading the writing between the lines, mate. I knew where you were coming

As much as I look to places like Alaska and envy the large predators they have, 21st century overcrowded Britain ain't the place for them. Another example of people jumping on their environmentalist high horse claiming to be naturalists and supporting nature, but in actual fact only really give a shit about what they want nature to look like. And I'm not sure there would be such a deer problem if bambi wasn't put on a fecking pedestal and stalking was made more accessible to folks. -

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/earth/earthnews/11457882/Wild-lynx-to-return-to-Britain-after-1300-years.html I liked this comment; The rewilders talk nicely about biodiversity and ecosystems, but what gives the game away is how they always seem to want to reintroduce big, dramatic beasties. Where’s the campaign to bring back the blue stag beetle or the brine shrimp, both absent from our shores since the 19th century? Rewilding isn’t about restoring the glory of nature. It’s about people thinking the nature we have isn’t interesting enough and needs to be sexed up. -
Ah well, that's economy, not convenience which is what you said. I accepted the HO do not consider it acceptable for economic reasons but it's clear they do allow discretion for practicality reasons (which is more substantial way of saying convenience). Fair play though, I had overlooked the OP saying he considers traveling for 600 rounds impractical for cost reasons. You got me there. My mind just jumped straight in to the physical/logistical practicality of having to travel such a distance regularly. That's what I considered good reason, in addition to me knowing many forces are underst

He doesn't have good reason. As has already been mention earlier in this thread when someone was refused for just such reason. It's down to the individual force to decide if it's good reason, as stipulated by the HO guidance. I'll happily concede that I'm wrong about the guidance if pointed to the relevant section. But from what I'm reading it's quite clear the individual circumstances are taken into account and the allocation is down to the discretion of the issuing force. It's very clear in the guidance that my 25-06 is acceptable for fox control, yet if I was to remove deer

You made a statement....... Born Hunter, on 05 Mar 2015 - 3:53 PM, said: He doesn't have good reason. You seem to be getting very wrapped up in this, many regions come up will all sorts of bull, some of which may be good and some not so good. The Guidelines/Law make it clear that convenience in NOT a good/recognised reason for bulk buying. Some departments may take pity on him, just like some regions will NOT issue a .22lr for fox, some will tell you the HMR is illegal for geese and one at least issued ME with a SGC for an AUTOMATIC shogun (Not Semi). The regions are a d

All I'm saying on this debate is you got to love Dorset 2000 .22lr, 2000 .224, 1000 .257, 300 9mm it must be because it is such a distance to the nearest RFD lol Well, clearly Dorset Police haven't read the guidance. Tut tut! Or have they..... given that repeatedly it states "These amounts are only guides and should not be seen as absolute limits to be applied in all cases.". "Economy of purchase" (buying in bulk because you can get a better price from the dealer) isn't considered acceptable by the Home Office however practicality of an individuals situation clearly is. Which

LOL, not recognised as good reason yet in the same breath some departments will support it.... so then obviously recognised. Where's the problem here, it's a legitimate and valid piece of advice. If someone wanted a fox rifle and someone else suggested a 243, not all forces will grant that but that's no reason not to ask.
-
Convenience, your financial position, location, difficulty in finding ammo etc etc are not recognised good reasons for BULK buying in the eyes of the law! It is possible some regions may support your request on this basis, others may well laugh! So because they might say no its a better idea to not even try? LOL f***ing hell, probably best not bother applying for firearms full stop.
-
Just get your FAC ammo quantity varied to a few thousand. Save all the fannying around. 10'000 22s wouldn't be unheard of.

f***ing hell QB, do we need to have another charity auction to get you a carer? LOL

I'm assuming you needed immediate medical assistance for the shock and blow to the head from the fall? You'll be telling us they didn't charge for that either! LOL LOL
