Unless you believe sexuality is contagious then I find it difficult to think of a decent argument against all sexualities having equal rights in law...... Isn't it as archaic as gender inequality?
-
It doesn't really matter whether they were smuggling heroin or fecking tampons, the law of that sovereign country is very clear and publicised. If you break it then you have to be prepared to take the penalty. Perfectly fair in my eyes. If you can't take the punishment then don't roll the dice.

Assuming split cases leading to water ingress is the cause of the problem...... A bullet isn't a particularly complex piece of technology, if someone can diagnose the cause of the problem I'm sure someone else can develop a QC procedure that fixes it. These things usually happen when someone in management gets twitchy about the financial implications..... I suspect the solution is expensive and not worth it for the relatively few failures.
-
So what causes the squib round then? Lack of powder? What? I find it hard to believe that QC couldn't be improved to solve it...... perhaps what they mean in that QC can't be improved to solve it cheaply....

I'm under no illusion as to what the British Govt. and authorities in whatever historical form have done.

Times change eh BH, when Queen victoria and the jewish merchants were making vast fortunes by exporting opium to China and the Chinese executed a few merchants because of the devastation it was causing on their people, they sent the Royal navy over and forced the drug on them, no public expense spared, and never any apology........suppose it depends who's doing it Not that i'm defending any drug smuggler, got what they deserve, lets just not forget these scum come in all guises. Do you expect me to change my opinion because the British empire had an opium trade? LOL. We traded s

BH there is a big sign at the airport which reads WELCOME TO INDONSIA DEATH PENALTY FOR DRUG TRAFFICKERS ,cant really be any clearer. As you say perhaps they don't think they will go through with it or the Foreign Office will intervene & save them ...bad call out there.. That's my thinking anyway. Naïve, stupid westerner thinks "oh, I'll be alright, I'm British/American/Canadian/Australian, not a poxy worthless Asian no one will care about. My country is too powerful to let me be killed. This third world shit tip will bend to my country's will if I get caught.... worth the gamble"
-
Not sure that's case born,,,,I think most of know,,,those South East Asian country's are hard on drug trafficking ,,,most of them have death penalty,,,or 30 year stretches ,,,,me and the family went to Hong kong a few year back,,,,I was paranoid as feck about our cases,,getting tampered with Well, if they are fully aware of what they are doing and the consequences then f**k 'em, Tomo. The law is the law, you break it, you serve the sentence. Getting stitched up is another thing again, for that I would hope justice would prevail, regardless of the crime/sentence. If you don't trust (as

I imagine foreigners, like the Ozzies and the Brit either don't realise what the sentence is for that crime in that country or are just too stupid to think that they will be prosecuted if caught. I like to think of it as natural selection... I hope the Foreign Office aren't wasting too much resource on it.

I'd put money on the other being .303 British mate. There's millions of them in the ground. Not often you find something as big as those two though.
-
Well them fuckers aren't for shooting sparra's! LOL. They look .50BMG size.....??? Possibly from an old M2 anti aircraft weapon. Thanks for sharing and PM mate.
-
Ive got pictures on my phone I'll post them when I can Be interesting, thanks.
-
The metal detecting lads tend to find shit loads of old ammo. Most of the 303 stuff tends to wrot around the neck leaving bullet and case separate. Sounds a fairly big round if it's bigger than your hand... Get some pics before you go letting the bomb squad have their fun with them. LOL

It gets funnier the more you watch it! LOL

Would he come as a male, or female, guest? LOL, hopefully male. Though with all these accusations I think I'll play it safe and let Newton or Galileo have a seat. What all the players were doing at politically one of the most heated times in the world history can wait, lol. A Spartan would be pretty interesting to meet as well. Chuck in a Persian or three and there's the post meal entertainment.

When I was his age I had just got a full time job in a decent career. I think my folks charged me 100 quid a month, which was f**k all, probably wouldn't have covered what I ate. I was saving very hard to move out and they knew that so just asked for what they felt was fair.

Snickers is my go to snack.

Very different times. I know of a few politicians sons who have/do serve but couldn't make a fair comparison. Society is different, war is different, politics is different...... It's hard to imagine the scale and loss of campaigns like Gallipoli, D-day etc. I'm not meaning to take anything away from 21stC soldiers, I'm sure things like picking up bits of your mates from the shitty desert is just as harrowing as it was in 1915 for the individual soldier. Just the scale of conflict these days is different. As a society we just can't compare the likes of 13 years in Afghan, for example, to th

I don't think that that is entirely fair. This was a time when it was common place for the 'elite' to serve their country. And before you say from the safety of an officers quarters, I believe I am right in saying that the Etonian Alumni suffered more than their fair share of deaths and casualties in the first world war, reflecting society of the day. Human life was pretty cheap at that time.

No, it's a fox......

Estimates vary but 34'000 Brits dead and 78'000 wounded in an 8 month conflict........................ that's just Britons....... French, Ozzies, Kiwis, Indians also suffered similarly. And people think that the world is bad today........ The death tolls in the great wars and their campaigns is just unimaginable by todays standards. A conflict like that would pretty much end our military today. I think it's important to put things like this into perspective in such a way to truly get even a small understanding of the scale of such historical events.

Changing a population genetically through environmental selection IS evolution. And you implied creation when you mentioned Noah. You did not 'merely state' there is a lot of variety within dog kind. You said "Great example of how, all the dogs in the world came from a common DOG ancestor of noahs ark", which is completely wrong. You've made a very poor analysis of the experiments results. What it is a great example of is how a species changes genetically through domestication. Evolution through selective breeding.
-
No it's not. It's an example of domestication and evolution through selective breeding. It does nothing to prove evolutionary time lines or family trees or have anything at all to do with a mythical ark. The entire point in the experiment was to explain why certain behavioural traits show up in domesticated animals which could not be understood with simple evolutionary theory. The experiment helped to define the finer details of evolution theory, not creation.
