It's worth remembering that, regards to the hunting act repeal, a topic I would hope we could all find common ground on. I don't know how things stand now but before the election I believe there was 24 Con' MPs vocally opposed to hunting..... If a free vote is to be successful it's going to require the politicians to do a bit of politics.

I'm thinking of raising my rifles comb to help with head stability for longer shots. I could get a custom stock with a raised comb but I rather like the 'hunter' factory stock. I'm not a big fan of the neoprene socks and seen this which looks smart; http://www.bearskin.no/produkt/bearproof-precision/bearproof-precision-comb-raiser-English Anybody used one? Or know of a UK stockist?

I appreciate that the current system appears very unfair, especially in light of the recent election results. But realistically how else could it work? Surely with any sort of 'fair' proportional representation we would be forever lumbered with minority governments or coalitions?

I wouldn't like to tell you what to do mate but you can train around this injury and very effectively at that. It will be frustrating but constantly analysing your programme is just part and parcel of it, injured or not.

I've been always led to believe that Deca works wonders for injuries.In fairness mate, you got a back injury and quit training completely. Do you really think you have the dedication to use drugs safely and efficiently?Get medically checked out and get lifting again and work around your injury. To think that you couldn't continue to make progress just because squats and deadlifts were a no go is wrong. I did my back in around 2 months ago. At work I've still been getting sciatica so it's still not right, I have been to see a remedial therapist and tbh she didn't know what was up with me.

I think it would be missleading to view the SNP whitewash as an indication the Scottish have changed their minds about independence. The SNP offer the Scottish, as part of the Union, a better deal than the rest. Even if you are pro union, it makes sense to vote SNP. No? As an Englishman I couldn't give a f**k what they do now. I want a strong Union.

Thanks for that, I find that philosophy very easy to agree with. It's reassuring to read that my own young thoughts are at least on the right track. Everyone seems to want to lift with various bits of kit but if you're training to improve your functionality as a human in everyday life I figure strapping up and belt isn't ever an option out of the gym. My grip was the limiting factor on my DLs but I resisted the temptation to strap up, doing drop sets where necessary and tweaking my stance. Result... my grip is now on par with my posterior chain, not limiting it. I guess it depends why you tra

Deadlift is more about technique than outright crazy strength you could be the strongest man alive but if you dont know how to position your body correctly and push your hips through etc you,ll never be a good deadlifter. A lot of it depends on the reason someone trains,very few people are strong in the whole body we all have strong/weak points a deadlifter might not be able to curl much weight but he doesnt need to.......the tricky part is when its simply down to genetics,without sounding big headed im genetically blessed in shoulders and arms but it becomes a problem when training shoulder

Pull ups seem to be a weakness for a lot of people, then often neglected for that reason in favour of curls. Personally I think that makes the pull up family of exercises that much more impressive.2 mins constant 1 handed? I assume thats a hang for grip training? On a similar note, I saw a gruelling challenge the other day. 1 pull up over the course of 2 minutes, 1 min up a 1 min down continuously. Not tried it but looked evil. The singe handed is for reps,gripping the wrist with the free hand of course so its not full bodyweight .......any slow pull like that is a tendon builder rather tha
