Lovely. A stag at bay brings out the finest hound music IMO. Seeing hounds hunt a boar would be special too ,especially as he can turn the tables pretty quickly. I'd love to see that.

I love it . I've been lucky enough to enjoy the Cork countryside and hospitality many's a time Jigsaw, but, I stand by what I've always said about ye down there and I'll say it again. You're all f***ing mad .

Well done, rewarded for your patience.

That takes some bottle. TC LOL, but think about it Tiercel, when you have that monster on the end of the line you're saying to yourself "f**k I hope I stay in this boat" and you do your best to. OR you cut the line and what self respecting angler would even contemplate that, LOL.

Hey Jigsaw, you being from the county you're from I'm surprised you've even heard of this place called Tipperary. LOL. There's Cork and then there's the rest of Ireland, .

Very nice Bryan. I like that stag in the bottom pic. It looks like the pullets are spangled and the stags are black red in that clutch, it's unusual.

What will the quarry be Dido ?

She's very good and has a big following. My daughter is a big fan.

I agree about a well trained lurcher. To see two different type of workers working in harmony is fantastic. Whether that's a terrier and a lurcher or a ferret and a lurcher or a terrier and 19 1/2 couple of foxhounds it's always a pleasure, as long as none is a danger or a hindrence to the other. What I do love to see personally with a lurcher on a dig is not the type that's put sitting and stays there for hours but the type who's using his nose, ears and brain and knows what's going on underground and will be in the right place at the right time. Never using the lurcher at the end plays IM

My father has the best of modern rods, tackle boxes etc. and about a dozen Mitchell reels that I'd say some could be 60 years old. He wouldn't have anything else. I swapped a left handed Mitchell 305 a couple of years ago for a brand new Loomis fly rod. The reel was at least 50 years old and cost me 50p when I was a child. Still going like clockwork too. Great reels IMO but the old ones are better than the new.

You're right Gaz. Chicken is between 19.3 % and 21 % . I always thought it was much higher but not 100%. I wouldn't feed a young dog on only chicken though because of it's lack in fat etc.

Have to agree that lurchers can be a pain in the ass around a dig. I can only think of a couple of lurchers over the years that while you were working the terrier you wouldn't know there was a lurcher around 'till there'd be a bolt. Most lurchers have to be held on a slip around a dig and a lad holding a lurcher can't help on the shovel. Everyone to their own methods but one thing that boils my blood is the type of fellow who can't see the terrier lifted fast enough so he can let his lurcher off. This type of fellow has no business near a dig IMO. A terrier is a sporting dog in it's own righ

Good stuff. Rear him well, train him well and enter him to work well and the rest is up to him.

THE ONLY PROBLEM ??????????? Topper are you sure you're a terrierman ? The only problem is indulging in some alcohol. Sorry, but I fail to see a problem, .

That's the same recipe I've been using for 7 or 8 years now and it's nice and simple. I also make my Ginger Beer the same way. Careful how you store it, it can be very volatile and can explode. I gave by brother a bottle once and he threw it on to the passenger seat to drive home. Two miles from home the cork exploded out of the bottle covering my brother and the cars interior in Champagne. The windscreen was covered in it and the first thing he did was hit the wipers, LOL, but they're on the outside. He nearly crashed. He rammed his thumb into the bottle to try and save some and if the co

Wormy pups usually have a pot belly on them, that pup IMO is just a little light. Was he still being fed with his siblings ? Feed him regularly and he'll catch up and I'd vary his diet and don't just feed chicken. Chicken is nearly 100% protein and a pup needs more than that. Give him everything he needs and they "usually" repay the hard work.

I'll make one small criticism and that is that it's a pity the top squirrel was not in full Winter pelt, BUT, that's not the artist's fault.
