  1. NEWS JUST IN............................................TRUMP IS GAY CAUGHT IN BED WITH HILLARY .
  2. Rat Face, I had a bitch a few years back and every time I think of her I'm sorry I never tried her in the rocks. Nancy was her name and she was racey, well bred, hard and could jump a 5 foot wall only touching the top of it. Her nose was excellent but she was retired after 3 seasons. If ever I had a terrier I reckon could've been a proper a terrier for the rocks, it was her. I still have her sister here, now 8, but she's cobby and looks like a little bull terrier and much more steady in her work. But when I'm shooting or hunting around quarries now and see a crack in the rocks I wish to my
  3. if I'm not mistaken Neil likes to give his dogs an hour before he digs, isn't that right NeilWhat gave me away ???????????? The part of my post where I said I'd give a terrier an hour to settle in a big place ???You're a right little Columbo aren't you. You are around Stop End to much Mixed Grill as you's are both on the same wave length regarding working terriers. As I said to Stop End, ye should learn a bit about terrierwork at home before starting to tell others how to do it. missed you at the west Meath show Neil I was hoping to introduce myself to youI was there Mixed Grill, you should h

  6. Stop End I'll only agree with you on one small part of your post. You're right about a lot of people on here knowing about you...........they know you very well.
  7. Another thing I'll say about the rock holes is that I never remember putting one in and trying to account for him by bolting or otherwise. We'd always have lurchers in place (or maybe nothing just to watch them run) and enter our terrier so we had a high percentage of fresh foxes bolted. If we ever put him in and then entered our terrier I can't remember but I would imagine that that would be a nice test for a terrier. It's a good topic this.
  8. it was my first time drinking it last yr neil. was out for a nights lamping with a friend came back boiled the kettle and had a few hot plum potins with cloves and brown sugar.we were talking dogs till near on 6am.good night all the same. That's exactly what it's for.
  9. Now you know why Power Bait is banned on a lot of lakes, LOL.
  10. Same as that Daniel. Give the terrier time to be where he want's to be and start digging when the time is right. In a big place it might take an hour for a dog to be in the right spot. Then it's time to go hard and steady at it. That's what good terriers deserve. Rocks can be different though. I've seen a terrier worry it's fox in 20 minutes but was still there hours later. That's not much use either even though the terrier's done nothing wrong. Rock dogs IMO to excel in rocks are a specialist. When I first seen good terriers working foxes in the quarries they often came from the North of

Yous are saying your terrier does this and that in the rocks and what im saying is unless you get to your dog in the rocks yous havent a flyi
  12. I've had Plum Poitin before and it's nice and I drank moonshine made by a Romanian this year and you could taste the Plums in it. One of the nicest Moonshines I've ever drank actually.

  16. Used to Tank. There's plenty of quarries in my area and we used to bolt foxes out of them for lurchers. Since the Celtic Tiger roared in most of the quarries opened back up and are now more dangerous than ever. Either that or there's security men or CCTV watching them. Used to love doing them and remember a few times lying on my belly looking at a terrier working it's fox way down through the rocks and nothing we could do . Regarding terriers killing their fox and coming out ? If you know your terrier you'll know whether that fox is dead or not. I would say in my life I've only ever had a
  17. Here's another good Blue Shark catch, http://fishinginireland.info/news/sea-reports/international-group-writes-irish-flyfishing-history-by-catching-nine-blue-sharks/
  18. There was a thread a while back and a couple of lads mentioned deerhounds in Ireland ,including a breeder on the Meath / Westmeath border.
  19. Possibly, but 3 foot in 40 minutes ???? Maybe he uses rubber shovels.
  20. Stopend, are you saying it would take 2 men AT LEAST 40 minutes to dig 1 metre ??????????? Surely you've worded that wrong, if not then LMAO. I'm also a bit puzzled as to how you can tell the boys who work rocks regularly how to go about their business. Would you not be better off learning a bit about terrierwork at home first ?
  21. i like the fancy words fishery officers..their bailiffs.. and you may no thats a bad name to have in ireland.they deserve all they get.can never see it a thing of the past. Welcome to the year 2016.
  22. It's going to get worse. I'm not taking sides as I think a lurcher or a greyhound on a hare that's on it's own sod is the finest of coursing there is and I'm 30 years watching coursing. No farmer wants to be intimated on his own land and it's all well and good saying that the Irish hare belongs to the Irish man but trespass is trespass and most farmers don't give two fiddlers f**k about a hares life but they do worry about their fencing and livestock. That's why the lurcher lads who have some cop on and a yard to park in seem to never have a problem. But the bigger problem is that this week
  23. I think he knows he's in trouble. Saying that he reckons the election will be rigged is his excuse for loosing, if he looses that is.
