  1. Moving on a few weeks - but what a year for cubs. Two weeks ago one ran across the road in front of me the size of a small vixen. I got out and watched it for a while. A week later I watched a litter in the same small covert the size of small cats. Been trying to find a chicken killing cub all week who's quiet big but while looking for it all I see are babies. Farmer's ringing me with a problem and I go out and look for the culprit and see very little sign. I even had a call of a farmer less than two weeks ago who lost two lambs, I'd say that's the latest ever. There are no rabbits at all a
  2. 5 or 6 years ago the Irish government funded a survey on Munties in a part of Leinster with a cull planned on exterminating them. Those who carried out the cull told the Govt. not to bother as they were too well established.
  3. Often heard a lad fart and he'd say "better owt then me eye."
  4. So who has brunch then ?????
  5. You don't hear the terms "Please" and "Thank you" as much as you used too, LOL.
  6. I was talking to a woman the other day who's in her late 80s. She mentioned that her neighbours daughter was going out with a Darky and she also mentioned another chap who's one of those Gays that you hear about. Years ago an Irish saying for pulling a bird was to "shift" her. We all fell around the place one night when an English girl told us she was popping out to shift her car.
  7. It's Hacketstown Jack. Any info on the one of the lads standing at the back of the car ?
  8. Ok, I was told the croc killed him and watched the other boy 'till he was rescued.
  9. Is it true JD that at the end of the DVD there's a disclaimer "No Animals Were Hurt In The Making Of This Production." LOL. Best of luck with it, should be good.
  10. I remember having a few pints with some coursing lads a day or two before they went over for the last Waterloo Cup. They had never been at the Waterloo Cup before and I was trying to tell them how fine the coursing was but they laughed at me and said that it couldn't be good if a woman was bringing a little dog over from the states. I remember them coming back eating their words, LOL.
  11. I suppose then the way she finally went makes a better story than being just another cancer victim.
  12. I agree 100 %, and I'm Irish. Years ago Irish open coursing was as good as coursing in Britain and I always loved the 60 - 70 lb English coursing dogs over the Irish lb + monsters. And now the ICC has shot itself in the ass once again by agreeing to muzzle dogs at OPEN meets ,which IMO is the final nail in the coffin lid of PROPER coursing. So if you like organised coursing get used to big, big dogs. A pity IMO.
  13. That aint no pheasant either. Looks like a Henny to me.
  14. All the Mods have come out of the closet since then, otherwise same ol' same ol'.
  15. I have Aussie relatives home at the moment and they were telling me before that incident that recently two old friends went out fishing as they have been for years. A croc flipped their boat killing one of them and the other man climbed onto the hull of the boat. He was there for 5 hours with the croc watching him. That never made the news over here.
  16. theres excellent tope fishing in strangford lough and up the coast huge skate just off ballycastle theres excellent tope fishing in strangford lough and up the coast huge skate just off ballycastle A friend in Antrim was talked into going out last year for the first time and you should see the Tope he caught. Beginners luck. They say the Tope follow the Mackerel so when the Mack's are in the Tope aren't far behind, unless you go South or West where it's the Blue Shark. I have absolutely no interest in deep sea fishing because IMO the skipper and his gadgets find the fish (and IMO h
  17. According to fishing reports the last couple of years they seem to be making a recovery and there's always a couple of massive Six Gilled sharks caught of Ireland every year too.
  18. Yes Jigsaw, TL was a great character and breeder and Mrs Lee always seemed to have extra spuds in the pot in case there were extra folk for dinner. Good people.
  19. Fair play to Taz, nice pup. Question for Fireman, will you try and dye the pup white or will you just keep it out of view in case anyone seen you with a coloured terrier, .
  20. Pity about the Eel Eddie, nicer than Pike or Perch IMO. Someone should have shown him, LOL.
  21. I thought it was he, but didn't want to guess, the last time I wrote something on here about the Waterloo I got the day wrong. I think it was on the second day that the Master went through the ice, but I could be wrong, LOL.
  22. Oh, I also see Lee's Shadow there too. He was some producer. You probably would have got game ones out a poodle if you put it too Shadow, LOL. Shadow even produced Lurchers that were top class.
  23. That's very hard to make out Jigsaw, and I've good eye sight. But I do see the staff Rocky My Dear AKA Rocky Lee in his breeding. I traveled over with Ricky that time and Darren got Rocky and his daughter Noodles off Ricky. They were nice dogs and Rocky could only be described as a gentle gentleman of a bulldog. I think that Rocky lived 'till a very great age indeed.
  24. The Irish term for them Eddie , if you remember, at that size is "A Grazer". I remember an old friend who'd shoot them at half that size . He said they were beautiful, who's to argue. Years ago if you mentioned to someone you were going shooting rabbits they'd tell you to bring them back a couple of grazers. You don't hear it nowadays.
