  1. relic, what do you intend to use the dog for ? as an all rounder i think the bedlington x greyhound first cross is as good as any, bitches and some of the dogs would fall within the size you want.
  2. i freeze it, then just open it up and feed the lot, guts in all, never had a problem with bones, i've also reared litters of whippets on rabbit whole carcesses with no bother .
  3. your building up quite a collection Laurie. the 10z works best for me.
  4. just wondered what yous thought of him now, thanks
  5. i've seen set ups with a post put up outside the kennel for just that reason, i'ld say its worth a shot.
  6. power hose a few times a week and bleach or jeyes a couple of times per day in one of those one pump action garden stray things, no smell is of great importance when you have neighbours
  7. they sound very handy digger. a lot of dogs give a fleeting mark, maybe only a turn of the head that can go unnoticed or your questioning was that mark ? what i like about the spaniel's marking is that its unmissable.
  8. thanks. only kept the one i bred myself, he'll do me, only a youngster yet really but catching bolters regular now. thanks for interest.
  9. i'm the same mate, have a young cocker here and wouldn't be with out one now, has never let us down and is a real pleasure to be around "The Spaniard"
  10. i've a 8 month old pup here thats loves to hunt, seems to have decent nose and bulls through any cover. better in the field than lying on the sofa.
  11. i would leave lamping til around the year old mark, ferretings a different kettle of fish, personally i would have out with me from 3 months on wards, as Laurie says it clues them in, they learn nothing in the yard.
  12. sometimes all that is needed is a change of bedding material, give the kennel a good clean and try him on straw
  13. shells are just made of calcium, not do the dogs a button of harm, i just throw raw eggs into the dog run a few times per week, some eggs the shells , some don't.
  14. i trawled through all the info on it mate, was definately a prolapse as far as i'm concerned, chick was dead this morning any how. sorry no pics.
  15. had a chick hatched yesterday with what i supect is a prolapse vent, seems heathly otherwise, anything i can do or should i just cull ? thanks
  16. use it in chicken feed, over poultry housing and dog bedding but wouldn't subtitude it for a proper wormer
  17. i use front line myself, any vet will sell you it. i also sprinkle diatomaceous earth on their bedding.
  18. have to agree with my fellow Ulsterman there, its small polecat jills for me.
  19. best of luck with the pup. personally i think a good barf diet is the best way to go, meal is just no subtitude for proper meat in my book.
  20. i use frontline spray and also add some diatomaceous earth over food
  21. toyota for me everytime, get a cheap surf, fill it full of heating oil and bobs your uncle.
