    just made a drop last night, its f##king beautiful, lovely to sip with a pint of stout or over crushed ice cocktail style, used red apple juice for last nights effort, hence the colour, the wee lad came in while i was making it and asked if there was any apple crumble left...its tastes like it smells. recipe poitin couple of litres of cider, any cheap barrack buster will do the same of apple concentrate drop of sugar cinnamon sticks vanilla pod bring the undiluted apple juice, cider, sugar( not to much), cinnamon and vanilla to the boil, simmer for 45. leave over night to

    don't think anyone was advocating keeping a pup underweight, i just don't buy into the cram as much as you can into them method of rearing, since when did being overweight become healthy, overfeeding must put stress on a young dogs organs and bones.

    i've a decent well bred cocker here Banter, your free to use him anytime you want mate, good finder, opens up when close, 100% marker. never shot over just works with lurchers/ferrets.

    nothing strange about it Gaz, over feeding a pup and actually preferring it to be overweight, isn't doing it any favours in my book.

    any vets will sale it to you, i use it for the chickens, never had a problem getting it.

    you beat me to it Neil, i also like to keep pups lean, a fat pup , is just that.

    i handle them a few times everyday from the nest, i always put my thumb under their chin and like a dog scratch them behind their ears, get them used to the knuckle of your index finger around their mouths and don't underestimate the calming effect of talking to them
