  2. couple of snaps of my young rezza, the only one that hatched unfortunately, no idea regards quality but i like it anyway
  3. exactly Chid. they'll probably just have to sort it out themselves
  4. personally i think you need your head looked at if your going to a vet for boosters, i give them their first jabs myself and thats it, have never had a dog go down with anything.
  5. my hunting partner and myself have two dogs from a litter i bred last September, they get on fine together until either one catches a rabbit, then it can kick off, black dog used to give rabbits up to white one but will stand his ground now he's older, don't want it to wreck the wee team so needs nipped in the bud, bar sinking the boot in them or just letting them sort it out, would be interested to hear any other approaches ?
  6. got a cocker around the same age myself, very busy in the field and marking well, has disappear down a few larger holes, a smashing wee pup, i'm well pleased with mine.
  7. skycats advice will work, have done it myself, just put the crate beside your bed, give it your hand and have a yarn with pup anytime it crys, within a couple of days move the crate to its permanant position, job done. you'll have more of a bond with the pup than shouting and throwing water over it.
  8. whats looks got to do with it ? heres a snap of as nice a bedlington type as your ever likely to see but dog was a wanker, was an alright ferreting dog and no doubt that would have been enough for some to label him a working bedlington and there lies the problem.
  9. Yes ! great win for Donegal

  10. i would go for one mate, having no previous experience of spaniels, i got myself a cocker pup recently, there a real pleasure to be around and very keen to please, i have him as a general mooching dog working beside lurchers, he's only young yet but is fairly switched on and a joy to watch hunt.
  11. a well known local Belfast artist very kindly made me a gift of this painting recently, the shit fame and the photo don't really do it justice and probably not to everyone's taste but it floats my boat, there's a real 3D effect to it
  12. Willie, i've been driving a toyota surf 3 litre for the last four years, its a great wagon, goes anywhere, plenty of room, i would certainly recommend them.
  13. a small lurcher sounds like it would suits your needs better, you'll certainly catch more with one.
  14. will kick off properly next week, high hopes for my pup out of last years litter, year old on the 15th, double bred lord of the knight whippet over a straight half bedlington /greyhound, all the pups bar one from a litter of nine were given to friends, signs are good , so be interesting to see how they go in their season.
  15. looking for a kit or two, if anyone could help , it would be much appreciated. in Belfast but happy to travel for decent ones, thanks.
  16. best of luck with her, it was a tasty looking litter.

  18. my other young lurcher bull/whippet x beddy/whippet, bonding nicely with their future mooching partner, jack the cocker. again with the wee lads staff pup
  19. pup i bred last september, looking forward to his upcoming first season
  20. just kennel your springer pup outside from the start, never leave them together unsupervised and things should be fine. my cocker pup went outside straight away, i've also a 4 month old Stafford pup who's happy inside or out, so to keep the cocker quiet in his new surroundings, the Stafford went out with him for company, they're the best of muckers.
  21. decided to go for a Cocker, initially intended to have a black n' white bitch but was taken by a blue roan dog, very pleased with my choice, was retrieving a small toy with in an hour of getting him home, without even being called in, really keen to pleased, if i stand still he comes and sits at my feet intently staring at me. have enclosed his pedigree, would be interested to hear what members thought of it, thanks.
  22. modern game bantams are a nice wee bird to have about the place
