  1. what can a correct bite do that an undershot one can't ? unless its extreme , it shouldn't make a difference to a working dog, can remember someone in here saying" its only a correct bite upside down".
  2. thanks for letting us know about this, very handy done with paypal, no problem.
  3. all being well, i'm expecting a couple of litters soon,if your still looking, your welcome to a couple when they're ready.
  4. bred a litter that way couple of summers ago, good coats, quick of the mark, don't mind cover and hit hedges hard, so they suit me for daytime mooching and ferreting, i don't lamp myself but no reason they shouldn't be half decent at that as well. littermates , 22"/23" ats boots, new pup from Terry Aherne , same 3 breeds in the mix
  5. i'm sure theres some out there mate but few and far between i would say but i keep myself to myself so don't really know. i was lucky 20 odd years ago to start with a good one but they're harder to get now which tells a story in its self. its the undocked fell type, as you describe them i would prefer, i had a pure gutchcommon dog for a while back then, nice size but a good breeze would've blow him over. 3th generation dog i bred myself a long time ago, half lakeland bitch i have now but i wouldn't call her a bedlington
  6. straight half beddy x grey gets my vote as well, natural hunters, shame this bitches career ended early due to injury, she was a cracker.
  7. each to their own, wouldn't be much of a forum if we all agree, i own both, i find the cocker a pleasure to work with, his job is to flush to the lurchers not catch himself and i find bedlingtons hunting free to be a pain in the arse regardless of the time put into them but like i say, each to their own, what i do suits me. best of luck with your bitch baldocks, hope she works out for you.
  8. i use frozen as well, i cook it and soak brown bread in with it, then mixed with tripe, chicken and beef, make it up once a week.
  9. i don't get it myself, there's better options for bushing than a bedlington, they tend to hunt to far in front, they're famed for going deaf on a line, so trying to get them in can be a nightmare, you might need another busher to find your bedlington, some are mustard fighters, if working with lurchers things could kick off over caught game, being terriers there's also the risk of them dropping to ground unnoticed if running loose, terriers aren't for bushing in my book, save yourself a lot of hassle and get a cocker.
  10. just give them the whole thing fresh and worm more often
  11. dam sire youngster, a subtle blend of Bedlington, Whippet and Greyhound
  12. young murph's got a bit of leg to him, year old this week.
  13. little smasher mate, all the best with him
  14. 6 weeks used to be the norm, didn't do them a button of harm then
  15. lovely pup Danny, put me in mind of my staff when he was a pup, best of luck with her.
  16. invest in a small Brinsea mate, believe me, you will want to use it again, its very addictive.
  17. each to their own mate , fasting makes sense to me and works for me http://gooddogfoodco.wordpress.com/2010/10/11/the-health-benefits-of-fasting-your-dog/ http://www.dogsnaturallymagazine.com/why-you-should-fast-your-dog/
  18. i see one now and again on the hills above Belfast, they were reintroduce here a few years ago, great to see.
  19. looking forward to this one ,should be a cracker, you have to lean towards Donaire but Rigondeaux hasn't put a foot wrong, who do you's fancy ?
  20. happy days...looking forward to the street party later.
  21. i wouldn't say tiny but have a youngster here that will be lucky to make 30 lb, which suits me.
  22. i skip one day a week all year round, usually don't feed on a sunday. off season, feed less and skipping another day mid week won't do adult dogs a button of harm.
  23. and laying by the fire won't suddenly make a game dog a cur.
  24. parted with her after she killed a bedlington bitch Chris. my cocker opens up one he's gets something on the move.
