  1. and a big thanks to Lawrence for getting me the dog in the first place only slagging mucker, delighted for you, nice to see the smaller types get a look in.
  2. tinypic has always worked well for me
  3. perhaps its because they support and attend most shows Graham, personally i don't enjoy them, so don't go but i've never understand why people get hot under the collar regarding showing or racing, its only a bit of summer craic , certainly not to be taken too serious.
  4. no takers lads ? they're in fine fettle
  5. sorry to hear that Davy r.i.p
  6. sods law mate, like yourself it was jills i was looking
  7. had a duke through a belfast translation book in the town the other day, this one tickled me part.......... a tropical bird that speaks
  8. sorry mucker , was nearly in the same boat, 8 hobs, 1 jill and thats two litters together !
  9. will have a few spare hob kits available in a week or so, well handled, medium sized from good working stock. pm if interested.
  10. looking well mate, nice bit ground, i dream of nice handy ground sets like those, i'm usually cut to ribbons under a hawthorn
  11. smashing litter this ,turning out to be very strong pups, the height and weight surprised me, had to rush out and check my own bitch pup of similar age and mix, 16" 22lb, a lightweight compared to your fella's and she just can't compete in the lugs department.
  12. i'll have some of that, he's well worth a punt
  13. for me it doesn't make a button of difference what way around you breed them, they're still half whippet half bedlington.
  14. Buster i would recommend the stickmaking handbook by andrew jones and clive george, its a great little book which takes you step by step through several different stick types
  15. can't really argue with anything there Buster, other than to say a kc reg is no guarantee of anything. be interesting to see how your mates pup turns out, might surprise you and go broken. bit of a mute point anyway i suppose as it wont make a button of difference to the pup. sorry for hi jacking your thread Kev, just found it interesting.
  16. why would it be impossible ? i no genetics expert but would not both parents would have to be carrying smooth genes? so to produce a smooth whippet type coat the bedlington part of the equation would have to have something else in him, more than likely whippet somewhere along the line. theres variation in coat type, broken/rough but you shouldn't get a smooth. thats just my thinking on it, in saying that i could well be talking out my arse.
  17. boxnation 2am, good channel, well worth £2.50 a week
  18. i bred a litter of 3/4 sighthound 1/4 beddy a couple of years ago, 3 in the litter turned out marked like your pup
  19. he's looked good but hard to like, its a long shot but i'll be watching in the hope of a Paulie ud.
  20. tidy pup, nice length to it, 3/4 ?
  21. my young bitch pup, beddy/whip x beddy/grey
  22. its impossible to get a smooth pup from a genuine first cross though
  23. was just curious Kev as i've bred a few litters of straight halfs but have never seen one as smooth looking from that breeding, be interesting to see how he turns out.
  24. lovely healthy looking pup mate, best of luck with him, whats his coat like, looks smooth in pic?
  25. like peas in a pod the beddy crosses, my own bitch pup looks like she'll be a ringer for yours, best of luck with her.
