    Long Net

I have always worked on the principle of placing a net to intercept the rabbits when they are heading for their next place of saftey. In other words you have to guess where the rabbits are going to bolt to and place the net between there and where you are working. If you have never worked the place before, guessing is just a lottery so it may pay to be belts and bracers and surround the warren. TC
  2. I have an old vista machine and was thinking of trying linux ubuntu on it it has the required specs and there is not anything on it I would like to keep so how hard would it be to install for a complete novice? I have looked into it but it's all greek to me plus there are so many versions to choose from mint, Zorin and LXLE to name three of them. Getting a bit confused now with the jargin. All I want it for really is browsing. TC
  3. These are the ones I grew. TBH I could not fault them. http://www.bejo-organic.com/uk/webshop-organic-seeds/assortment/ras.aspx?ProductID=PROD1608&GroupID=GROUP1248 Here is a RHS trials report on them 96% of the balstora stored by them were sound in Febuary of the next year. And a good yeild with them. http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=3&ved=0CCwQFjAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fapps.rhs.org.uk%2Fplanttrials%2FTrialReports%2FOnion%2520globe%2520bulb%2520types%25201995.pdf&ei=3ivQU4HBCsbe7Aa26oCQDw&usg=AFQjCNFMvqiVnwBKMeTMqMf
  4. Cheers tiercel chillis are not for me either its the first time the figs have come on thanks for the tip re wasps. I will try and get a photo up this week of "my" fig tree. In the carpark of our local farm foods. TC
  5. Terry, those onions are not that bad had worse myself. Tip. Use ethe ones with the thicker necks first. Add this to your list, Do NOT grow onions from sets. Grow them from seeds and never plant them out before May the 6th. Even heat treated sets bolt and because they are grown in the same ground year in year out they are very susceptible to white rot. The best onions I have grown were Balstora cracking yield thin necks and keep very well. I read the other day that Medwyns are doing a F1 hybred with Balstora and Ailsa Craig and by all accounts it is a cracker. http://www.google.co.uk/ur
  6. That is one nice cabbage. You can keep the chilli, not for me. Watch the wasps with the figs as soon as they ripen they will be on them. TC
  7. The first link in this thread from the BBC gives a differnt story to the article I read from the BBC this evening. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Police+Dog+Bite+Victim+Dies&newwindow=1&source=univ&tbm=nws&tbo=u&sa=X&ei=HLjOU5KOH6qM7AalrICIAw&ved=0CCgQqAI&biw=1348&bih=633 Police dog handlers should be charged with dereliction of duty if the dog they are in charge of is out of control. And also charged under the new dog laws if the dog bites someone who was not a legitimate target. TC

  9. Pete Nic, has got to be one of the best bass skippers in the country, He knows his ground and has his finger on the pulse, the boats not bad either. I would pick a big tide and he will find you fish. http://www.boatfishingwales.com/ TC
  10. I posted that about 5 years ago, the general consensis was that it was photo shopped. There are a lot of inaccuracys in the photo's. TC
  11. Heres an old thread on the same topic. TC
  12. I would hazzard a guess, that as we have been having good weather the bass are off shore feeding on whitebait and mackerel. A storm or some heavier winds should pull them back to the shore again. TC

  16. Q friend of the wife and my self, who used to buy stuff from warehouses and sell them around the pubs, gave us a 12" vibrator. I gave it to the boy to play with. His mother has never forgiven me as he took it outside to play swords with, and told anyone who asked it was his mothers... TC
  17. Personally I have no problem if he did PTS himself, far better in my eyes than a lingering death. The vet would want to try this and that and all that would do is line their pocket the end result would be the same. TC
  18. Look for features at low tide then fish those features when the tide is flooding. Stuff like old jetties, sand bars, rocks jutting out from the shores that type of thing. Anywhere where food will be trapped by the incoming tide. TC
  19. I liked it when I first saw it, but it looks even better now. very in keeping with the décor. TC
  20. Take your pick. Padlocks. TC
