should have always been the case. innocent until proven guilty is morally correct as is anonymity until charged +1 can't give you a like. but agree 100%. people are soooooooo quick to judge without an iota of fact. TC

There are so many religions in the world, yet each seems to think that theirs is the only true religion? How does that work then? Hindu, Sikhs, Muslims, Jainism, Buddhists, Christianity both C of E and Catholicism and that is barley scratching the surface of the religions out there all think that their religion is the right one. Their God is the only true God, funny thing is they all might be right. If you look at God as good, then if you follow the teachings of your God, you are him. TC

I honestly don't have any spare money to donate to the fishing comp fund raiser, but I can put up one of my new nets for auction. The nets have had a trial with socks and caught every rabbit that entered the nets. There was a problem with the net but that has been sorted now. The nets are hand made to my design and honestly catch rabbits. They are ideal for the single handed ferreter as they can hold a rabbit the other side of a hedge till you can get there to despatch it. The winner of the net can donate directly to the fund on Page of the fishing comp thread. I will make the net an

How easy it would be to make up accusations for something that may or may not have happened 30 40 or even 50 years ago. How could you correlate such an accusation? In theory any one of the right age could accuse any one and thats it, your reputation is in tatters. Makes you think. TC

While I can understand and respect people having faith. The constant need to prove that faith to others does make me wonder how strong that faith is? TC

Bpr Doing His Bit In Promoting The Sport.......
Tiercel replied to Longers7's topic in Catapult & Slingshot Hunting
TBH I have followed BPR since he started with the catapults. I like him, he puts a lot of effort in to them, and all that he learns he tells other people how he does it. That said, he does at times act like a spoiled child. One person said it did not look like a live squirrel and he asked to be deleted, a bit over the top to my way of thinking. If you put yourself on a pedestal you have to be aware that people will take pot shots at you for what ever reason. It is then up to you to ignore the flack and just carry on with what you are doing. Especially when you are doing a good job. As -
As with all written words you can put what ever interpretation you want on them. I am an agnostic (hedging my bets) but I like to think I live my life around the 10 commandments, as do most people. Personally I think the Bible is a collection of stories with each story having a moral. The idea of the Bible and religion is two fold I think, at first I believe it was just a moral code written in stories that people could understand. Unscrupulous people cottoned on to the fact that people listened to what the bible had to say, and used it for their own ends. Hence the Easter Bunny and other

Even though my plot had club root I never suffered with it. A squirt of fairy in the hole when planting up was all it took. A chap on the allotments gave me the tip, he got it from a RHS gardener on a question and answer session at a show. Apparently they are not 100% sure how it works, but it is believed that the club root spores absorb the fairy and the liquid makes them grow till they explode. It also works for swedes when sowing the seeds put a squirt of fairy along the sowing scrape. TC

Where Are All The Good Contributors Gone?
Tiercel replied to unclepesta's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
Just a thought! Does not the fact that they are banned tell you something about them? On forums people come and go, fact of life, people get bored, fed up with being trolled, get what they want, then just stop. Just like in real life, where people get fed up with going to the same pub every evening so change their local. The way of the internet. Edited to add: I am like the old chap you see supping his half pint in the corner in every pub, just sitting and supping hoping some one will talk to me. TC -
Up until five years ago I had not bred a litter of ferrets for about 25 years, but I had one jill that was an exceptional worker. so I decider to breed her I have a hob that was 3 years old at the time he is eight now, and showing his age. He was a good steady worker, but not in the same class as the jill, and working on the premise of better the devil you know I mated them. She had only four young two of each and then when the kits were 4 weeks old I went out one morning and she was dead in the cwb and the young trying to suckle off of her. I have had ferrets for close on 55 years and you

Well the net was tested in many situations and truth be told was found wanting in some aspects. That said, it is not terminal yet, and I believe the problems can be addressed quite simply. I went against my better judgement and tried rigging it in a way that went against the grain for me, but it had to be tried. So next step is to iron out the fault with the net, I then believe it could become a decent weapon to have in ones armoury. TC

Every one will tell you that a net rigged by halves, half it's stretched length (100% bag) will out catch a net rigged by 2/3rds of it's stretched length (50% bag). To be honest I always rig mine by half. Yet nets rigged by 2/3rds have been catching rabbits for a long time. Where the net rigged by half scores is when a couple of rabbits are caught, there is still plenty of slack left in the net. I think that with the net rigged by 2/3rds mesh size proportionate to the size of rabbit being targeted is more important. As the net relies more on the rabbit getting it's head through a mesh to c

One question that just struck me, does the resin tarnish with age? TC

I love this thread, no bravado, no bull sh!t just good old straight talking. And an empathy for each other, as we have all been there, and done that. The thing I really love is when some one can grow something that you can't, no jealousy or pique, just well done. No ego's on this thread, only people who are willing to help. TC
