  1. Honestly that makes me feel a whole lot better, perhaps I am not as thick as I think I am. Nahh I am. TC
  2. I was thinking last night I might do that, so thats the plan RJ45. Al, I had the disc for the adapter and I had added it as a module, but for some reason it would just not connect. TC
  3. Just a thought that just came to me. I am running vista, the Ndiswrapper does not work with vista. so when configuring I used, as advised in the notes a XP .inf file. So could it be that the adapter cannot run two systems at the same time? IE change between Vista and XP? If so if I added another adapter could I have one for vista and one for Slacko? Just groping in the dark, here, and experience has told me all I get from that is a slap in the face. TC
  4. I tried Slacko and after the first few boots, it boots in less than a minute. Good features, even if I do not have a clue what they are called yet. The terminology is something I will have to learn, all over again. Very impressed with the speed it works at. One problem though, and it as a big problem for me, I cannot connect it to the internet, that said, I have not tried a RJ45, as it is totally impractical for me. I have googled how to connect and followed the instruction faithfully, but it just will not connect. I have the disc for my dongle that has Linux as a OS and it still does not
  5. I put ubuntu and slaco on disc and will try them tomorrow, and see how they go? A bit late on a Friday night to be messing around with computers. :drink: Thanks both for the help and the links. TC
  6. Right, I got it on the stick last night, this morning I went into the BIOS to change the boot order and the bloody thing does not support removable, only CD or hard drive booting. So I will have to make a disc. TC
