I am not talking about a clip round the ear, many is the time that people had to pull him off me, when he had me on the floor kicking me. In his defence I was a right little bar steward, never criminal just always in trouble, and a mouth that was too big for my age. He died when I was 12, and I spent the next two years looking for him, hitch-hiking to all the places we had been together hoping against hope that I would find him. That may have been because I was considered too young to go to the funeral. TC

Any one care to translate for me please? I used to get seven kinds of shit beaten out of me. Did it put me on the straight and narrow? Nope, but what I was taught in-between the beatings did. TC

If you use nets often you will know that at some time they will need repairing. This can seem a daunting task but once you get the principles right, it is not really that difficult. I think I had better start at the beginning and show the tools I use. In the photo you will see A stretching frame, two bars to hold the net, one bar to make the meshes, bungy and needle and twine and scissors. TOOLS To stretch the meshes a bar is placed though the meshes above the hole and the bar with the loop in is place beneath the hole, the bungy is then attached to the loop in the bottom bar that then pu

Really? Please can you point me to the official document that states this as the Vienna Convention makes no claim that the premises of any embassy is classed as the land of the occupying country. The land that the embassy resides on belongs to the hosting country or you'd end up with a right mess. http://legal.un.org/ilc/texts/instruments/english/conventions/9_1_1961.pdf - article 21 onwards. I think you are going with an urban legend type Chinese whisper. A foriegn Embassy has diplomatic immunity as do Diplomats t6his is accepted around the world a sovereign state also has the o

Apologies. My post wasn't worth the 4kb memory it was written to. Ask shroom he got what I was on about. And it was not any of your posts. TC

I despair sometimes at the level of non-debate of some of the posters on here. Instead of listening to what others have to say, so they can then make an informed decision. They just press ahead with their own agenda and remain forever ignorant. TC

I was thinking the same thing at the beginning of this thread, I remember that last one and desertbred acquitted himself with honours. This thread though I think he has taken the bait and bit, pity really as he seems an honest chap who can give an insight of Islam perhaps we would not normally read. TC

A questions I would like to ask. In Islamic countries does the religious morals of the Koran take presence over the law of the land, or is the Koran the law of the land? I ask this question as when I was younger there were a few students from the UAE that were studying in Swansea, and used to come to our town for nights out and would drink and if they had the chance fornicate with WELSH women with the best of us. One in particular Abdul was a great chap and I got along fine with him. His philosophy was that I am not in my country now so the laws that I was brought up with do not apply

Harey are those the tunnels on Etajima Island? My uncle was a Major in D Company of the Second Battalion of the Royal Welch Fusiliers, he and his men cleared those tunnels of 23,000 tons of leaking explosives in a week after Japan surrendered. TC

I am just a simple Welshman, and life is so simple to me. Treat others as you wish to be treated yourself, take what you need and no more, and always give back for what you have taken. I am probably closer to Charlie Caller in what I believe to be the right and proper way to live, but I do not need any so called higher deity to tell me what's right and what's wrong, in their brief life my parents taught me that over 50 years ago. As I stated in an earlier post I live my life and taught my children what was right from the beginning. They all live a good life, yet according to you unless we

As previously stated I am agnostic. and having read all this thread there is absolutely nothing in it that has changed my mind. Being agnostic means I have an open mind and I am willing to listen to reasonable argument. BBB, if anything you have lowered the god theory in my mind. Rake was right, you are a Zealot, but to make it worse you are an uneducated Zealot. You take any information, that suits your cause and present it as a fact to try and prove your case. Any material that is presented to you that does not support your cause you conveniently ignore the question or answer with a ques

How long is a piece of string? Nearly all my ferreting is hedgerows, so all my stop nets are 5 or 6 yards long as that is all that I need. Yet when i was bushing with the pointer and nets they would be between 10 and 25 yards long. different situations call for different length nets. If you could be more specific as to your needs then perhaps someone could advise accordingly. TC
