Absolute crack pot ? ?
-
Never had any bother, don't normally keep them over two years, only the defender now I'll keep an if anything does go wrong just pay some mug to get dirty ? it's four years old now 22,000 miles and only ever had to wax oil it, now I've opened my mouth though it'll drop to bits going up the river later ?

I prefer the defender 110, bought that 8 months before they stopped making them, but then our new rangey is a comfy ride an even at 3l twin turbo does more mpg than the 2.2 puma, defender seems to do better out the Moor though, the defender was only £35,000 an the rangey £85,000 lot of car for the money, defenders hold thier money better though. Conventional landys all the way for me an would still buy defenders it they were available, have to stick with an old motor now though, wouldn't touch that new monstrosity!

Like walshie says, leave fixing untill you have what and where the FEO is happy with. Have you thought about where you'll keep ammunition? My cabinet has an internal magazine but nowhere near big enough for the ammo I carry, so I have a separate safe for ammo and keep bolts in the internal magazine in the cabinet. Most FEO will want to know what firearms experience you have, all ready having permission and experience with your air rifle may be enough, if you can get out with someone who has rimfire and shotgun will stand you in better stead, depends on the FEO at the time though. Any expe

Absolute pot luck on a trailcam
Gav replied to S.Maclean's topic in Wildlife and General Photography
I was just looking at buying a trail cam but got lost with the amount of choice, any recommendations would be appreciated, only looking to spend £50 to £60 and it would be for tracking red deer routes so good night picture quality. Who knows what else is out on the Moor. Cheers guys. -
I asked my butcher if he had pigs feet, he said yeah, when I replied "where'd you buy your shoes" he just looked at me daft? Honestly!

I know that feeling only too well pal ?

Just bought this case a few weeks ago off amazon for £40, I've got to say it's a bit of a bargain, I only use it for transporting in the car, it keeps both my rifles with scopes, bolts an mags secure and tight, no rattling or movement. There's two combination locks and two clasp locks, they wouldn't be any good for security but sufficient to keep it closed tight. There are two identical ones from the same seller rifle case and airsoft case, the later been a few quid more for some reason? But they are the same cases.

As everyone else has stated, you'll be grand, as long as you have good reason and not been a numpty you are entitled to one. You wouldn't have got as far as an FEO visit if they were going to turn you down. Just be yourself! My last FEO visit we talked more about archery than my rifles, quick look at my cabinet an jobs a good un ?

The only rats I like to see are dead ones, nice going ?

Aye I've had a few close calls, a good sod of wet peat tends to calm it down. Trouble burning peat though is it tars ya chimney up something chronic, a sash weight wrapped in barbed wire dropped from the top four times a year brings a load out. Canny beat free fuel though and our water is always scolding.

Nice one for not getting giddy and blasting into the dark, you wouldn't want to lose your perm for a shot in the dark, get a good reccy during daylight the go blast them carrot munchers to smithereens ?
-
? Now you put it like that, I think I'll stay ? it would be nice to get away for a bit and hunt something different, around TREES, but as the old saying goes "you don't realise what you have, untill it's gone" or did I make that up ? We should trade places for a week pal ?
-
Aye we're a bit more built for it up here, just stay in round the rayburn. You can see the double glazing flexing inside!

We don't count it windy till its over 100mph,probably why we don't have trees ? did lose two ridge tiles a few years ago when it was gusting 160mph, never a shed though ?
-
Now I'm envious, we don't have magpies, pheasant, squirrels or fox, all we have is deer, rabbit and grouse. I have even seen a couple of mountain hare in the last two years, they might make a come back. The fishing ain't bad though if ya know where too bimble ?
-
I'd start by taking them monstrous pylons out, might take a good deal of heavy ammo though ?

Like something out of a guy Richie movie, that tweed makes you look slimmer too pal. Grand result. ?

People with disabilities don't have a choice! People that do drugs do, fair game to name and shame in my opinion, it they don't like it don't do it, personally I'd take thier picture through a 4-12x50 attached to a .308

I've actually never seen a fox in the flesh, we don't have them here, I thought they were a breed of wild dog to be honest, so thanks for the pictures, feeling slightly enlightened ?

Ah man that is class, I'm really glad you enjoyed them. Did you do the lot or save a few ? What was the compression like? I'm too old to be a factory but can always do a few more. Thanks for sharing, Atb Gav ?
