As above but I do like the federal 17gr ballastic tip, the grouping for my t-bolt is a lot tighter, or I might have just convinced myself of that ?

You read my head, I do the hvs to 75/80 yard and subs out to 50 yards, there's a big difference in what ammo your using.

Guy had it as a heritage/museum house for a while then sold all Fred's stuff off at auction and shut it down, said he couldn't afford the upkeep. Shame now its come to this, wonder if the blue plaque dedicated to Dr Fred is up on the gable end? Seems like another cash cow idea from greedy buggers using his name!

You are correct but it takes a lot of the crack out it and saves wearing ear defenders ? Never had any split necks or trouble with rounds so far, but hey ho now I've said it ?

I've seen a shot on you tube out to 280 yards, that's pushing it in my opinion but obviously can be done!

Hmmm, I use 17gr in mine but they do a 20gr, I've never tried them though! I don't get any more fouling than the lr to be honest too. I'm comfortable at 100 yards on a calm day, can't say about windy days, as I'm too soft to go out when it's windy. I'm sure a man of your standing could get another 30 - 40 yards, Errr I mean your friend! Come join us on a mouse hunt ? Ps. I'd definitely recommend a mod too, the difference is dramatic. I'm using federal 17gr ballastic tips, they turn rabbits inside out at 80+ yards no bother.

Good grief! 200 yards? That's not lr even HV! That's gotta be WMR but then I've never seen WMR subs! My longest confirmed with 22lr is around 90 yards. Don't even think I'd attempt that range with my mouse gun ? Admit it your in cahoots with the devil ?

The flash point of diesel is around 52c and with a boiling point of 60c upwards so I'd be very careful doing it that way, I've never heard of boiling?

I've had a go at traditional long, drawing 60lbs at 70", I wouldn't want to do it for more than three ends at 50 yards. That's probably why our mediaeval counterparts had more than three fingers and eight hours a day practice ?
