  1. Had various Land Rovers, but the best is 110 Double Cab, on Mud Terrains.. for sure. Few upgrades for safety. Steering Guard, Diff guard, Steel Wheels, Mud Terrains. Rear Recovery points( For towing other folk out) Mainly because we shoot at night.
  2. I dont know what your shooting, but I would always keep a traditional gun in the cabinet for those times that a semi just doesn't cut the muster... Sell quickly, regret at your leisure, because you will never get back what you will have to pay for one!! Sell the Berreta by all means, that's just upgrading!! For instance, I took someone to our shoot yesterday, as a last minute guest.. He didn't have time to borrow a o/u or s/s from his regular source, so we spent a good while trying to locate a suitable gun.... And you never get to borrow a good 'un do ya???
  3. I agree with some of your points Deker. The minority spoiling it for the majority. Now.....I don't shoot an air gun any longer, but what I have done is signed the petition, as I do believe that all elements of the shooting fraternity, in what ever capacity, should stick together. When air guns are banned, they will start on the next thing....... So, together we stand, divided we fall!! Irrespective of our interests, country sports participants are slowly getting a raw deal. There is no room for small clique groups in the future.. SO I would urge everyone to sign the petitio
  4. If you mean the one from Wales. www.anglebooks.com coch-y-bonduu books if not, I 'll have another look..
  5. Lovely end of day shot Brim And liking the new steed!!
  6. Whippet, collie , greyhound....................14-15months, just started her last month, doing well. roughly 22" TTS.
  7. Baited trap is the way...make sure you put food, water, and preferably something of a recognisable smell in to it. I used a towel from the court last time I lost one...It worked. Plus if you catch them at night, they need something to keep warm in. Hope you catch her. It is quite normal to get them back.
  8. If I get a chance I'll try and check my notes.........its been a while though
  9. These are the ones I can help you with..
  10. It rained.............hard, I never got anything..... But the dog marked well, the ferrets worked well. We sought shelter in the landy for a bit, but it kept getting worse..We abandoned after an hour or so.I am really impressed with Bess's progress, she was just going from hole to hole sniffing, just waiting for the bolt.... The only problem is that she still gets car sick..............all over my barbour, so I got soaked cause I only had ma fleecy on.......Ma cherished hemp nets are on the boiler drying out as we speak
  11. If you are shooting wax coated subs, you may need to clean the chamber to prevent rounds from not extracting. But wait until its a problem. It will be evident when it occurs, and it does not affect the accuracy.
  12. What ranges do you want to shoot at? Are you looking to extend the ranges you shoot at? Can you confidently judge range, and hold under over? Do you shoot only one bullet type? i.e. 40 gr subs?
  13. the following are settings that can be varied in you camera... I would try Autumn colour mode, or night landscape mode. See if that gives you the desired effect. If not try exposure bracketing in landscape mode. +/- 1 stop. It will be automatic. Taken off the web!! Exposure modesAuto modes (auto, auto [flash off]), Advanced Scene Modes (Portrait, Landscape, Child, Sports, Close up, Night portrait, Night landscape, Party/indoor, Beach/snow, Sunset, Dusk/dawn, Pet portrait, Candlelight, Blossom, Autumn colors, Food, Silhouette, High key, and Low key), programmed auto with flexi
  14. see if you have an exposure compensation setting. Is it a compact camera, or slr?
  15. you could try using a 0.5 neutral density gradient filter, in a Cokin square filter holder. That will darken the sky slightly and allow you to have a slightly longer exposure, balancing the exposure range. You can also get gradient filters in blue and orange to make the scene appear cooler or warmer. If it is just an exposure problem, try bracketing the exposure +/- 1, 0.5, 1.5 and 2 stops. This will give you a range of exposures.
  16. Looking to tender for some MOD Deer Management work. I have the necessary MOD clearances for access and firearms use on their property, but deer is managed through a separate agency and looking to make some introductions. I have fox/rabbit/pigeon/corvid on some land, so looking to extend scope of services basically.
  17. Ian, I am sure we had the discussion over Winchesters jamming in our CZ before. At the time I never had the issue. Since then I had had sporadic jamming of fired and non fired cartridges in mine. But every time it was down to excessive wax in the chamber. A quick clean out with the .243 brush, solved the problem. I am not sure this was down to my cleaning regime or not, as it had never been a problem before this particular batch. I wonder whether it was a combination of the increased case size making the ejection more sensitive to a build up of wax.. But I carried on with the Winchesters beca
  18. Nice varmint gun, Is that a straight pull or semi?
  19. Superglue works, but don't seal up the whole cut, just in case it is infected. It must be very clean, and dry, preferably where possible with alcohol. Just leave gaps in the wound where infection can come out. It will come off when it is healed.
  20. Start..........Control Panel.........user accounts........create new user. Should be straightforward form then on Jacko..
  21. Yep, had the same problem my self yesterday, ferreted gorse, couldn't net every hole..dog would of been no end of use, but I am still contending with stock at the minute.
