  1. Less whinging.....that's a fact
  2. Sugar in water is a good source of energy.. Electrolytes also contain salts to aid in rehydration, which is not as efficient with just sugar. Good rehydration is essential in sports nutrition to reduce the recovery time...and hence allow the athlete/dog to repeat his performance again in a shorter time spell.]
  3. I dont use the MAP reticule, but I do use the SR reticule. Which does work. Here is a pic of the software you get configured to a subsonic 40 gr... Very easy if you stick to one magnification...which I do!!
  4. As much as this... or as little as this.. I suppose it depends on the mood I'm in
  5. The answer to all you first 3 questions is yes. Wattage is also a measure of heat, so the smaller the number the less it develops. The dimmer switch sizing is based on a calculation of voltage and wattage. You may find that it is a little less adjustable throughout the scale, but it will be safe to use. It will certainly use less power, and therefore the battery will last longer. I am not sure however whether it will provided the same amount as light as you had previously, despite the claims... You may just not need to use the dimmer...... Matty
  6. Couldnt hope to venture out today here Brim.... You and the old man are braver than us today.. You still scored well though..... I am hoping for a good day tomorrow....... Matty
  7. In my opinion, Rimfire over FAC Air, on all counts, noise, price, versatility...They have limited uses, but do have a place in some armouries.
  8. White asses banging up and down in the lamp are quite common on one of my permissions.... scares em shitless putting the lamp on them....
  9. Very heavy. Caution on longer barrelled light hunting rifles. Got one on my .243 Sauer. Balance is all to feck to be honest. And silver...as already mentioned, so mines painted matt black. Performance is good, and that's why it stays, its virtually indestructible. (that and I'm skint)
  10. I bought the last tub in PD Mallochs in Perth, I am pretty sure Fife field sports stocks it as well.. Don't know if that's close to you?
  11. If it doesn't work when I check it, before I send the ferret down the hole.......it doesn't go down... (every time) If it fails when the ferret is down the hole, then I will have no problems accepting fate if the worst happens...Knowing I have taken every precaution.. But I like you up to now, have never lost a ferret. And I give them every chance to do their job properly before it is used, and never rush the spade.. But if I need it....its there.
  12. The 'no Locator' crew still think their right Brim, thats the problem...Apparently its them that are keeping the true tradition of the sport alive Personally, as you know...I prefer to ensure the safe return of my ferrets However, back on track..........Another good day mate..
  13. nice looking dogs mate, is the blue a straight whippet?
  14. If I were you Si, I'd be taking the .243.....not My 'Bull cross' Raid Wags armoury before setting out, you can never take 'too many' guns!!
  15. Welcome Alex... I do a fair bit in fife, shooting, ferreting, stalking..Its a good place to get started in fieldsports. Which bit are you from?
  16. Not the best mate..... better off catch a few rabbits...or a complete food may be as cheap to be honest..
  17. Sounds like a man after my own heart Hope he finds him a better home
  18. Yes I do, normally in large volumes when funds allow, That is heartbreaking I may need counciling after this....... I may even write a letter, as me withdrawing product support from them amounts to a catastrophic reduction in sales volume..
  19. My PES is sprayed with a Matt black paint....I cant say I have ever noticed glare since.
  20. It is quite likely that he will ask "Do you want one? Or do you need one?" Be ready to explain your self I would ask yourself Do you need one? As stated above , it can only be used for the purpose stated on your ticket.. Me....I wouldn't bother.
  21. My rifle is fine mate, it gets used 3-4 times a week as my primary method of professional vermin control, his has never been used against quarry and was brought out to try, he was not allowed to use it against live quarry due to his inability to get a group at 30 yards.... He was not able to get a shot with my FAC because there was nothing in the area safe to shoot..
  22. Definitely 'B', she will get a lot more outings soon, just need to rid my main hunting ground in fife of the stock for the winter, before I have a clear up there. Then we are set to take on an MOD project of about 3000 acres plus, so that will open up land not previously shot, should see some good numbers then. Had a go with the new purses you donated to the cause...very good they were too mate!! Thanks Bess did good Scotty, was a proud dad for sure....You get to meet her in due course!! Thanks all. You are all correct, it is never about the numbers, I get plenty of them with the
