  1. For sale I have Dedicated 105mm Sigma Professional grade dedicated macro lens. EX F2.8. 1:1 on closest focus. It is good for portrait photography as well as macro and close up work. I am just not using it at present, so it will go to make room for something else. I have attached a couple of rough shots taken just to show its uses. These are not representative of the quality that can be achieved. I took them under electric light off a tripod. Enclosed is the original sigma carry case, the lens hood and lens covers. The optics are in grade 1 condition. It works with digital cameras, but
  2. Very nice, TM. Handsome chap isn't he.
  3. You will still need to apply for authority to acquire, either as a variation or a 1 for 1 swap. Unless you have authority to acquire already on your ticket which you have not used. So when you do that........ask your FEO, or just tell them you need a WMR for long range work. If you have authority to aquire, try your luck as lon as your ammo says 22 rimfire, not 22LR, because if you are only allowed to possess 22lr ammo, you can not aquire WMR ammo. If you see what I mean.
  4. I'd spend a little bit more on a scope if you can.. We all spend what we can afford, but try and spend as much as you can. There was an old adage what ever you spend on a rifle, double for the scope. (whilst I don't practise what I preach....you will find situations with a cheap scope that disappoint you.) After 20 years of buying most cheap wonder scopes, I am slowly try to work my way up the quality ladder as funds become available. There are some cracking second hand scope available on the interent..be patient and they will come. If you are buying second hand, it is unlikely you will lo
  5. Twice I have found kit that i have left behind after shooting. So don't lose hope. Once I left a my favourite knife by a gralloch site.......found it near to a public path, 2 weeks later Also found my favourite bino's (my deceased fathers) after 4 days on a fence post where I had left them I actually felt sick during the missing period... Its not always about the monetary value is it?? Nice healthy fox that first one....no shortage of grub for him!!
  6. Not sure about urban, but used chicken wings to great effect in the country.
  7. WAM are ok in the right circumstances. But they don't work in the wind. And as already stated it best to have a couple of different types. On a still day, from a laid-up position, I called two foxes to within 6 feet of me using the WAM over New Year. It was their lucky day, as I don't shoot foxes on that particular piece of land, and did it as a demonstration to a friend new to fox shooting. Both were called within 10 mins.
  8. in answer to your original question...............My freezer

  12. Defenders are fine on the road. If you can get one that has had the centre bulkhead removed, or remove it your self, the seats can be moved back then. I regularly do long distance in mine without the back problems I used to get in my Passat, golf, audi A4 etc... Yes, a Discovery is better on road..thats for sure. But Defenders are better off road.. A modern Defender has less body roll than the older Discos, because the weight is lower down. Go try one and compare.

  17. My wife had one as a teenager, reared from a chick, had till it was an adult, then it released itself when ready.
  18. I'd try the reloading route as well..Is there anyone local can knock a few loads up for ya? I'm no Guru on relaoding, but it can transform a mongrel to a pedigree in a few thou off the COL.. Some guns just dont like factory ammo.. If there was one brand I'd give a go it would be Norma or second RWS. Secondly, and no disrespect intended, have you have someone else try to fire the rifle for you?? Off bags and stable platform rather than the Bipod? Tried a group with out the Moderator on? Matty
