A year old and your asking about a stud for her ,you just might have blown your chances of being taken seriously with that statement mate as she's still a puppy herself...- 13 replies

Have to say iv'e only seen them fly at rather than drop onto prey just once and that was the red leg who went under the landy i was driving and the buzzard brushed the windscreen with it's wings as it swerved to miss the landy as such and i would imagine a buzzard flight at game wouldn't be to exciting as far as a chase goes as they are a lazy flying bird but again fare play for giving it a chance and may it do well for you..
-
Iv'e had one nearly come through a landy windscreen in it's pursute of a red leg and many times have i seen them drop and try to foot both partridge and pheasants, had a wild pheasant hen killed on a nest while i was walking to collect the eggs and the buzzard hit her so hard it broke every sodding egg under her.A pal in the snow the other week was driving his misses to work and a buzzard nailed a hen pheasant in the road in front of him and as it was to dangerous to slam on the brakes it got run over while on top of the hen bird,so not going to argue with you FD as like you i don't do argument
-
like i said i would have destroyed it and slept happily knowing another one wasn't tormenting the game birds, ground nesting birds or the leveret's like they are doing around me and as for being bothered by some name on here calling me a prick ... Will just add fare play FD if there not a torment in your area then why not but were over run with them and there doing some mayor damage this way..

There's a free day in south norfolk if the topic poster wants,i don't shoot myself but have a good bit i can shoot over when ever i want and i'm not t far from Diss mate..Pm me and i'll sort a day for you but i have no decoys or hide as like i say i don't shoot so your'll have to sort that stuff out yourself mate...... Just adding it'll be over rape or a old maize cover crop and although i don't shoot personaly i do have half an idea of whats needed from the pigeons and your'll have a few shots...
-
I'd say expect being called a knobhead for driving like a knobhead....

when experienced terrier lads pass away.
fireman replied to stonewall's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
I know i'm to soft for this old game and i hate it with a passion to see my terriers knocked up but if any of my terriers showed they were in discomfort then painkillers are given without a second thought,if they have swelling they get a anti inflammatory as standard.. My vet talks me through everything drug wise and has said about using painkillers on bigger dogs as he didn't want me using them on my lurcher when she twanged a ligament in her front leg a couple of years ago and he didn't want her not to feel the pain so she kept off her leg... -
Bought a pair yesterday, army surplus £60,bloody good boots....
-
He had one and set out to ruin the poor thing from the start and he's never had a dog as good as any of AM's dogs and that's why he hates them. Some will say i'm bitching, others will know i'm telling the truth...

IN TRIPLE FD, the taking of wild birds out of the wild is a dodgy area and one that gives the rspca access to your yard and it's down to you to prove your innocent. You just having that bird there means your guilty so deffo get all your bases covered,i myself would have wrung the vermins neck and i hope it can't be released as there's to many of the rotten things and other wildlife are suffering hard for it....
-
Bet you still get a whiff now and again eh ,had 2 lurchers once grab a stoat that bolted from a rabbit warren and they caught it going back in but they also grabbed the net which prevented them from stretching it and killing it quick. Both them lurcher slept on a chain for a week afterwards , i chucked the net away as it still stunk even after leaving it hanging outside for months...Once smelt never forgotten eh ,,,

The eastern bird fed are having a show today at Risby village hall near Bury St Edmunds, suffolk ip28 6rt...This year a good entry of softbills have been put in and if your free and into a few birds then drop by and have a look..Doors open at 1 oclock and if you want to meet up ask the fella at the door behind the table for steve who has the terriers and he'll point you my way...

I was saying it's just what i think,if i was a pure chaser of the hare i'd have a native bred dog for doing so with, not knocking those that do with what ever dog they want to it just ain't for me.... Just to add for my own lurcher has saluki, bull and belgium mally blood in her so it isn't i have issues with foreign blooded dogs,i'd just use a native bred dog if i was a coursing man...
