It's the UK so something native if i were the courser of old puss with her being a native animal,it's just what i think personaly and nothing ever written or spoken by another man will change my mind as i think using a coursing dog with saluki blood in it is cheating.Good working brains to box them in like they do but just not for me and yes iv'e seen some very good saluki blooded dogs course in the field,i also have a lurcher with saluki blood in her and she was bred for a purpose from fully tested parents and the only native blood in her is greyhound so i may sound daft saying all this but i

That's a shame and a sad story for you jjm ,but to be honest you knew what he was doing with the stealing and that should have been delt with straight away and it sounds like was a thief anyway and not just the drink drove him to it once or twice. I was a heroin addict for the best part of ten years (been clean 15+ years now)and i lost everything i had due to it so i know what i'm talking about with addition and if i can help a single person sort themselves out then my shit time wasn't so wasted..Just don't put all you got into it Blackmaggie as like i say he may well mess it up once or twice and he'll feel shit for doing so and letting folk down,but just be there to help him off his knees mate as just knowing there was someone who gave a fcuk held me on this planet more than once when i could see no light at the end of the tunnel..The

Don't recon he'll go out his way to mug you off mate,but a addict will sometimes fcuk folk off with their fcuk ups.. Folks think it's easy to just stop but try stop thinking about hunting and put dogs,guns or what ever you do out your life and then carry on and your'll see it ain't so easy to change the way you not only live but the whole way you think..Nice one for giving him a chance and i do hope he gets himself through his dark days...

I very very rarely see a single roe around my village or surrounding area and i can 99.9% of the time either drive or walk and see a herd within 5 mins of my home at anytime,a few groups are always together through out the year and always in the same few fields..

If folks haven't got seeds or nuts then just soak some complete dog food biscuits and break a few into small bits,that will help all the birds get by.. and put out some water to as most puddles are now full of road salt snow water..

The only time iv'e heard of folks jabbing pups early is due to some problem like parvo around the kennels,while a pup is on mum it's quite protected immunity wise and hence why they were jabbed early as they would have come in contact with the virus when weaned off totaly.

The brown hare is in a different league to the mountain hare,the mountain hare can only run along the tracks in the heather where as brown hare has a whole field to twist and turn in..

Not that i claim to know a lot but no one has ever taught me how to do it,iv'e only ever dug with close pals as such and i'd say most of the time i known more than them.Still learning on every dig i am and the closest iv'e ever got to any "named" terrier men is through having a dog from there stuff or chatting to them on line.COMMON SENSE pretty much covers most of the other things so personaly it wouldn't influence my terrier world if they all dropped dead as i couldn't tell you who the "main men" in Norfolk are anyway ... -

Been windy in Norfolk all day and it's the drifting that keeps shutting the smaller roads,i had to walk out to help a mate out as he was stuck and i couldn't get to him in my ranger.Just as i got to him after walking 3 miles across country with a spade he got pulled out by a tractor,i called him a dick for driving out in these conditions then turned round and walked back home ...
