Marretta, a Bilko bred, non-ped racing whippet from the mid 60's; This was back when they would strip every ounce of fat from a dog then build it back up with muscle. A top class bitch, who threw numerous Racing Champions. Cheers.

They were all non-ped racing whippets, running in a straight line. They all had a very peculiar style of running, the back legs trying to overtake the front legs, almost running sideways! Mine didn't last long, too many injuries, mainly muscle and joints. Cheers.

A bad thing. Owned one and seen a couple. Won a few match races with mine, the others weren't up to much, the one thing they all had in common was they suffered badly with cramps after a run. Cheers.

Well, well, well, who would have thunk it…… Cheers.

I think Brand is a shithouse and perfectly capable of being guilty of what he’s accused of, and I despise him and Ross for what they did to Andrew Sachs…….BUT , if the government wanted to give credence to Brand’s conspiracy theories, they are doing a great job !!!! Chairwoman of a Select Committee writing to internet platforms trying to stop Brands blogs making money. The Attorney General tell the media they could be “ in contempt of court” when Brand hasn’t been arrested or charged and no court case in progress ! If there is a credible case against him then arrest him, charge

When I read the thread title, I thought you’d bought the lad a spade ! LOL ! Thats some man cave ! Excellent work ! Cheers.

Then accept my humble apologies for apparently taking your comment in the wrong way. Cheers.

“A disservice to Newcastle” ? Do you always take the opposite and opposing view to everyone ? LOL ! You didn’t used to ! Im a Newcastle supporter and YES it was a stroll in the park for Newcastle, it could have been double figures ! My neighbour and ex Newcastle player, John Anderson, who was commenting on the game for BBC agrees with me that it was a stroll in the park. I’ve absolutely no illusions that it won’t be immeasurably harder in the next few games that include Man City and PSG. Cheers.

Am I one of the two ? I honestly hope not, as I'd love to have a chat with you over a few Tennessee sipping whiskey's, a nectar I've had one or two of tonight as I've watched my football team (round ball) win 8-0, and Wales defeat our antipodean cousins at rugby (egg shaped ball). Its just what we call "craic", an Irish word meaning banter ! Cheers.

Well done Wales ! Australia a shadow of their former selves, but taking nothing away from Wales, a dominating performance ! Perhaps with the form of Wales, England, Ireland, France, the pendulum is swinging back to the Northern Hemisphere ? Cheers.

Quick start for the Taffs ! Cheers.

I agree, if it's advertised as, and sold as, an xl bully, then they could be DNA tested and a data base built. Cheers.

I once found a "hedgehog looking thing" in my back garden in Saudi Arabia. It didn't look like the hedgehogs I knew so after a bit of research it turned out to be a Madagasgan Tenrec. I can only assume, as I lived near the Red Sea port of Jeddah that it had arrived in a shipment and wandered off and arrived in my garden ! Cheers.

A stroll in the park ! Next three games ; Man City league cup, Burnley Premier Leage, PSG Champions League ! Cheers.

They were talking about ALL dogs, not just xl bully’s ! If there must be some legislation against owning these dogs, it’s already there, The Dangerous Dogs Act. Just add this “breed” to the list. People will say “ how do you know it’s an xl bully ?” Well, dna test the ones that are out there now and build a dna data base and take the dna of any dog suspected of being an xl bully……..don’t punish responsible dog owners ! Cheers.
-
The consensus on TV this morning amongst pundits and politicians is licensing . That will only punish the vast majority of dog owners, the idiots won’t bother with a license anyway ! One bloke interviewed said all dog owners should undergo a two week compulsory dog training course ! The government will f**k it up as usual and the innocent will suffer. Cheers.

Easy win for England, good game next, South Africa v Ireland. Cheers.

I've never heard of gout affecting the upper limbs, not saying it can't, just I've never heard of it. I think it was the ancient Greeks that called it "heavy blood" as it affected the lower extremities, mainly the big toes. Cheers.

I used to get a diclofenac injection when I had a serious attack and, as you say, an almost immediate effect on gout. That was when I lived abroad. My doctor here is loathe to prescribe dicllofenac, because of the damaging effect it can have on the stomach. Last time I had a major attack he came out to see me and it was so bad he prescribed a course of diclofenac and also pills to counteract the stomach damage that they might cause. It was this episode that lead to being put on annapurinol for life, and thankfully I haven’t had an attack since. Cheers.

I’m on allopurinol and if you follow the instructions about starting to take it, and make sure you take it EVERY day and don’t miss a day you’ll be fine. Ive never had any adverse reactions or recurrence and I used to suffer dreadfully with gout. And by the way, mine was/is hereditary, my brothers and dad all suffered from it . Cheers.
