Them deer are everyfeckingwhere...? Different when hunting for profit or the craic,...but now, they are a total embarrassment .. I keep well-schooled jukels,.. but, those pesky deer are a massive temptation,...and I don't need that kind of heat.. I am an aged person,.. I don't need any stress,.my heart could give out . I wish some fecker would thin the b*****ds right out... ?

Yes , he has packed in the Game Fair selling business,...shame because he was always extremely helpful, and was undoubtable, one of the Boys....? Walked out with the guy, and as a Field Sports Supplier, I found that he was far more useful in the actual hunting field, than many others that I have encountered.... I think the organisers of these large Country Shows, have possibly killed off,.. several of the most interesting and characterful stall holders...? They made the weekend so expensive, that any man selling sporting gear, really had to go for it, in order to justify the cos

Real nice litter, I wish them all, long and healthy working lives...? -
Horrendous item Brother,...seems more akin to something the Spanish Inquisition might have used, as opposed to a Mole Catching tool.? Great for a Trap collection,...but it is basically, a modern day recreation of the Victor Harpoon Trap,....a bit unnecessary really...?

Some of the rough coursing amidst the Irish farmlands, sedges, etc is incredibly exciting...I would far rather see the dog hunting his hares in such a natural manner.. Far, far better for me, than walking those god-forsaken , endless fecking Fens of East Anglia....yes,.. due to the terrain,.. you can often witness the course in its entirety, and yes, the hares are superlative, but after a few dozen trips, I found it to be like watching paint dry....not for me Brothers...? AS for the Irish Park Coursing,...well, loads of pals have made the journey over, and it would seem to be a fast- 254 replies

Well done Brother, its great to see guys enjoying a wee bit of training time with their young mates...? I have always pushed the retrieve in my working style , roustabout, workers and a tip I have found to be useful (alongside the narrow alley way trick) is to position yourself in front of the favourite place, that the pup will head for, when he has his prize .. I've even sat in a dog's bed waiting for him to leap in? For me, fetching and carrying captured game, and returning it to me, is a vital part of owning a lurcher... Obviously for many other enthusiasts, it isn't, .

Nowadays, its a noisy old world, and a young lurcher is going to be faced with many strange sights and sounds... I've mostly kept dogs that. by necessity, will have to do their work in the public gaze, whether it be a solitary rabbit, in a vast commercial greenhouse, or perhaps a rat hiding under a householder's bed ! Same when checking out a massive industrial factory for longtails, or an urban Fox, a working pup will have to run the gauntlet of noisy machinery, and get amongst the trash and debris, to find and bolt, or kill his quarry.. These places are not for the faint hea

Stupid dog owners and the heatwave
OldPhil replied to forest of dean redneck's topic in General Talk
Some folk are just plain stupid with dogs, Summer, or Winter....they just don't get it...? We are lucky down here, as we are surrounded by water,... I try to swim dogs every day ,...it certainly tires them out and after a good session,.. they settle down nicely.?
