  1. Didn't see any TV but did see some of the planes flying over when I was working around London Outskirts yesterday!
  2. Well, it was certainly a bit late/slow start, but the wasp jobs are certainly coming in now. Bonus yesterday was I got a Fox job out of one site as well.
  3. There is very rarely just one, if you want to get them sorted, poisons work all the time, traps work once, but it can still take time!!
  4. Who kept putting pellets in the barrel when none came out?
  5. I use the netting at times on the pigeons, never used a pop up hide!
  6. Personally I just can't get on with them, fired many over the years and never felt easy or comfortable. Just my opinion, OU and Semis just fine for me!
  7. Crumbs Alsone, it was tongue in cheek, don't start another one because of something you read! ANY of the calibres you mention are Impressive when put in the right place at the right distance! If you have any doubt, stand 50 yards in front of anyone with a pitifully weak (in comparison with everything you mention) .22lr, then you will know what effective is, but only for a very brief moment!
  8. Oh dear, lets be honest, the weather didn't help, the Carp were just sunbathing and certainly not interested in eating. My lad and myself, 25 hours fishing between us with 5 rods and about every bait and technique you can think of, 1 x 12.5lb Common, very nice and in good condition, 2 x roach, about 1/2lb each and a Crayfish. The crayfish were demolishing everything on the bottom, it was impossible to cast and retrieve any bait, they even tried to take chunks out of the weights! On top of all that the banks were alive! To be honest, I might give it another
  9. I like the Snap E Traps, if these were properly boxed then I'd be confident rats didn't eat the bait. The outer boxes funnel the rat to the killing zone and VERY FEW get away!
  10. Had I seen this earlier I would have said just what you reported, particularly the milky image higher up the x! The scopes are adequate for the money but certainly not exceptional! Personally I think they are to big and heavy (around 2lb with wheel and sunshade attached) for an air rifle for the field, but that's simply a personal opinion!
  11. Well, I'm going later today and hope to spent all day there tomorrow....lets see what happens!
  12. That's pretty fair (a lot better than I can do with a springer these days), and your right about practice, just the same, you also need the equipment, and those rifles seem to be delivering!
  13. I would guardedly agree with most of that but the latest Home Office Guide suggests .22RF IS suitable for fox in certain circumstances (short range). Why they need to qualify it is beyond me, isn't that the same with every gun/calibre, you only use it within its effective range!?
  14. Another of the dynasty down, but they seem to have racing in their blood. Tragic! ?
  15. You nasty cruel man, squashing that sweet little bunny with your rifle!
  16. Perhaps I didn't make that clear enough, I meant as per the OP (Pets), not working dogs!
  17. Lots of people leave their dog all day, frankly, I simply don't get it, if you don't have the time for a dog don't get one. Who knows about this situation, things are commonly not quite as they may seem!
  18. Chuck the Optilock mounts and get some Sportsmatch….save a fortune and in my view better!
  19. Taxi service and stress when they are younger, wait till they get older and start buying (help Dad) houses and then the Grandchildren turn up and...…...
  20. Sweden didn't turn up, but I'll take it!
  21. Repeat Half time comment. Not so much joy but relief!
  22. Objective review at Half time. England are playing OK, Sweden haven't turned up yet and there are 45 mins to go yet. Enjoy the moment!
  23. **** me...…. 60 minutes to go yet!
  24. We look forward to it, we make plans, we cancel everything (just had a call about a wasp job!) we hope beyond reality, we invite friends, we get the beer in and we get excited, and then we spend 90 minutes shouting at the screen! Please win today!
