any one with a cz 527 223 using 5.56 rounds
Deker replied to riflehunter583's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Why? Field work will almost guaranteed be better with one of the many/assorted .223 rounds! 5.56 are commonly FMJ, and of course, higher pressure than .223. So, if you want military target work a 5.56 rifle would be better, not a CZ527. -
Go on then, I'll bite.....so why did you get rid of it?

To be honest I know little about these, so a write up would be useful if you go down this route!

I caught some of this on the news last night. Information is sketchy to say the least and I would like some more detail. A tragedy just the same!

Great home made fly traps.

Same difference of course, and a time old tested and effective method! -

Do the same for wasps of course, just change the bait to a bit of something sweet! -

We are all different and all have different shooting situations. The scope is fine, but it isn't something I would ever consider putting on an Air Rifle for field work. Just my opinion, if you fancy one go for it!

I took a Big one at 100 yards exactly with Magtech 40g HP subs about 4 years ago. It was not a shot I would normally take, as, in my opinion, EVERYTHING has to be right for a shot like that (and it isn't often). Trotting across the field, I was already down on the bipod, he was broadside, I called, he stopped and that was it. He did drop on the spot from a heart shot. I wasn't after fox, and would rarely take them at this distance with a .22LR, I would certainly favour a HMR or WMR at 100, just the same, it's doable!

Rivers not to bad round here but the lakes are suffering. Low water levels, weed and algae growth, not to mention the heat! Are you experiencing the same issues, any magical work rounds?

I think I spoke too soon, chucked it down during the night here!

I can see well over 100...or was that mole hills/Horse doings? To be honest I have lost count of the times I have stalked a pile of horse shit, and the times I have ignored what I thought was a pile of horse shit, only for it to run off as I got closer!

Despite assorted weather forcasts over the last few days for storms here Fri its absolutely baking!

Yeah, that bipod fitting seems a bit DIY. There is no magic pill, its all about practice and pellet checking. Try as many pellets as possible and keep practicing until you are happy on paper at assorted distances! Upgrades are always about and after tryng rifles people commonly find shortcomings and then spend more on the next one. ATB!

Am I gong bonkers, didn't I go to Ragley under the CLA? Regardless of this, I consider Blenhiem Palace the best venue ever for the Game Fair...Just my opinion, and perhaps heading this towards another thread!

As said, the pic arrived this morning at 05.38 with a simple caption.... I just shot an AK47. We have exchanged Whats App since and "LOVED IT" came back! Guess she will be out with me a little more when she gets back, but my Magtech 7022 isn't quite the same!

The Game Fair, back in the CLA days was always expensive, for exhibitors and visitors, I have to say, speaking personally, many years back it was one of the best run shows around, it impressed me and I enjoyed it . Things obviously changed along the way and it sadly became unviable, the CLA lost touch somehow, I hope it can continue under the latest ownership as it is a great show!

There is In Show parking and another level of parking which you have to pay for, but there is still a vast amount of FREE parking, you just have to walk further (or get a pick up in the tractor cart!)

My daughter is currently away exploring Asia, she actually shoots very little in the UK but couldn't resist having a go with one of these when the opportunity arose. All I know is she is in Vietnam somewhere at the moment, nothing more specific. She very kindly Whats App this to me at 05.38 this morning , think she forgot the time difference!

Help please! I'm having all sorts of grief finding someone, I need bathroom and cloakroom COMPLETELY refitted, and I mean GUTTED and start again. Walls/ceilings skimmed and retiled/painted, new flooring and complete new sanitary ware, including rads/towel rails, also new lighting! In simple terms I want to end up with completely finished/useable rooms. So far, its combinations of.....we don't do floors, we don't do electrics, we don't do plastering, rubbish disposal is down to you, etc etc I'm in Reading area. Can anyone suggest/recommend someone capable and sensib

We have indeed, and perhaps we take too much of it for granted. I had cause to fly up to Largs in Scotland a few weeks back, and the drive from the airport to Largs reminded me just how great some of our countryside is!

Useful I'm sure, but as the post was 8.5 years ago I suspect it has been dealt with.

I don't reload but I know several who do, they will come up with the perfect load this week and be happy for a day or two, then I find next week they are tinkering again to improve it, and so it goes on and on......
