The theory is that they have open minds - not yet closed off by conventional thinking.

It was just an example.....but fair points. What gets me in these type of debates is how arrogant we are in this country......the majority of the world believe in God in one form or another yet here we are in Britain taking the piss and speaking as if we are so much more intelligent than the rest of the world.......yet look at the state of our f****n country !!! Very true. I guess there's only one way to find out for sure but, I'm not ready for that just yet

That makes you spiritual, not religious. Being able to find some kind of inner peace and calm in this crazy ol' world, no matter how fleeting, can only be a good thing. Long may it continue
  4. Maybe check your body positioning - the shots to the left eye were very good It's only very subtle but, from the video, your groups may improve if you turn slightly more to the right. Nice shooting
  5. As already said, as long as it shoots well, it's a bargain
  6. I wish you all the luck of the Irish - not that you need it from of your recent posts Don't forget to let us know how it goes afterwards Atb
  7. Nice write up. Nowt wrong with a nice British springer - it's pure airgun shooting at it's best I'd sell a kidney before I sell my TX. Atb
  8. I hope I never have to share a permission with you
  9. Cheers guys. I'm still trying to sort my springer shooting - that group went from right to left because of my breathing and wobbles Also, that particular rifle produces around 6ftlb so, I'd have to pick my hunting shots very carefully.
  10. This is my daughters .177 HW30k. Another member from here very kindly sorted it for her - It had a full strip, deburr, polish and regrease. He removed a couple of coils from the spring to make it easier to cock (spaghetti arms) and, completely sorted the galling issue. Now, it's an absolute joy to use. The only trouble is, she much prefers her PCP. She does still uses this but, only very occasionally. Anyway, today I gave it a go at 25yrds indoors with some JSB RS, off my knee. After a few test shots, I did a 10 shot group..... I'm thinking this could be a very capable, lig
  11. It's a nice looking bit of kit but, as with all new rifles, I'll be interested to see the real reviews in a few months
  12. He is one of the good 'uns Mac - just don't tell him that said so Sophie's already got a replacement on hers so, I'm giving this to another member for his daughter ........ it all turned out nice again
  13. Nice shooting Mark. I love seeing the pics of your dog bringing stuff back
  14. True enough mate. It's the same in a lot of towns. Sadly, I don't like going back to where I grew I up because it's just not the same anymore.
  15. Now all sorted. The generosity in this small community really is humbling. Thanks again Dave. Top man
  16. Don't give up searching. It's easy to get disheartened but, the leg work will pay off. Exploit any link that you can to get in somewhere - try telling the other local clubs that the owner of your old permission advised getting in touch. Atb and good luck
  17. How Are they supposed to do a policemans job properly if the public can't see their face? .... they just won't be able to communicate properly.
  18. Nice job Mac And, well done with that guard. I haven't encountered many like him but, when I have, I find it's normally down to lack of knowledge - they're usually expecting a bloodthirsty nutter. It's nice when they'll listen and understand.
  19. Jesus Deker - Thats some shooting. Woe betide anyone that dates your daughter.
  20. I believe Bigmacs protege is having a lot of success with something very similar ......... hopefully he'll be along shortly to give some first hand advice. Atb
  21. I'd love an open fire. The last time we had one was when I was a kid and we lived in a mobile home. I'd go with Dad to get the coal, he'd pay for 1 sack and take 2. I remember carrying one home when I was 7. It was heavy and smelly and dusty - Happy days
  22. Good for the old boy, I hope he makes a full recovery. It's a shame that 2 were only wounded but, at least he did the world a favour with 1 of them.
  23. You couldn't put it any better Welcome aboard Pob
  24. Make sure you try and get a decent one of those torch mounts. I've had a few and they have a habit of being flimsy and bending which causes them to snap. Cheers Moxy, I've never used one before. I'll keep an eye out for that
