  1. Definitely be careful with these pal as the lads said they tend to break stick one in a vice and pull back the forks with your hand see how they hold up if they are the bad ones you'll bend them definitely into the bin from there safety first Sent from my SM-T710 using Tapatalk
  2. I'm not a fan of looped at all I'd prefer a double flat if that Was The case but same as yourself about 1/3 loop had one break on me the at the fork and got it back in the cheek not nice haha
  3. Think I may buy one eventually.....what other over the tops do you favour? I'm on a top shot at the moment great design , shot a slant the other day and found it very nice the good old mule will never do you wrong either Sent from my SM-T710 using Tapatalk
  4. That's a well nice piece of kit as usual mate, have you fired one with tubes on, if so how was it, I seem to be flipping back and forward between flats and 1745 tubes at the mo but the tubes seem to be edging it simply because they last so much longer I'd use tapers on 1745 pal semi butterfly draw it's serious speed the tapers to tend to take some of the band life tho , these torques fit so well to the hand tho. 5. @wuyang I think the torque is the best ott commercial frame well definitely top 3
  6. Friend of mine made this I just went through the sanding and finishing there thought I'd share , jade g10 core and black and green g10 faces Sent from my SM-T710 using Tapatalk

  9. I'd use 25-20 singles semi butterfly draw with 9.5 steel but hunting I'd always recommend lead it packs more punch carry strap more velocity and impact. Even a bean ball 8x11mm weights the same as a 9.5 steel but it's a lot more effective to hunt with and still using your single band set up. Remember flat bands can under preform in cold weather so make sure you max out your draw to get the best out of them Sent from my SM-T710 using Tapatalk I use 9.5 steel and they are just as good as any other ammo aslong as you get head ahots which if your hunting with a catapult you should always tak

  11. A secondhand bolt action 22 will have very little to look for really. Things to check. Trigger pull. Cock the rifle and dry fire it a couple of times. Is the trigger sloppy, does it have a clean consistent break? Is it too heavy? Too light? Does it slam or bump fire (essential test on a 2nd hand Cz in case someone made an arse of fitting a trigger kit) Barrel. Is the crown clean, (if possible buy a cheap jewellers loup ad have a close look) are the threads clean or are they a little chewed? Is the blueing in decent condition? Drop the bolt out and look down the barrel towards a light fro
  12. Hi guys just wondering could anyone help me out with a few things please. I'm buying my first rifle .22 and I've decided to go with a cz brno because I have yet to hear a bad thing said about the rifles. I just want to know now the difference between a 445 and 452 and also how to identify between the two. Also is there anything to look for in particular when buying one second hand. Thanks Paul Sent from my SM-T710 using Tapatalk
  13. Good job that mate, i had one of those gamekeeperjohn things which i lost (prob for the better) and was thinking of making a new one. Got any tips or is there any guides on these? Cheers Thanks pal , what kind of tips ya looking for pal I'd be happy to help if I can Sent from my SM-T710 using Tapatalk
  14. It's a nice looking little catty and, I can certainly appreciate the craftsmanship that's gone into it but, if you don't mind a very novice question - how the bloody hell do you use it? The aperture looks tiny. This style of shooting is probably my favourite it's very natural and instinctive shooting in one motion . When you break it down you draw back twisting the pouch then turning the pouch downward then release and flick the wrist forward allowing the ball to clear over the hand. If you have never seen a pfs shooter check out some YouTube vids it's good fun and can be deadly accurate
  15. I always give a fork a few oil rubs danish or boiled linseed then beeswax finish sometimes I'd heat beeswax and oil and apply hot to the frame either way works good Sent from my SM-T710 using Tapatalk
