  1. They've got a f***ing nerve - weren't the rspca responsible for being a law unto themselves and killing family pets/good dogs whenever they saw fit?
  2. I was close enough for a good look and, I couldn't see any other markings at all, not even a faint yellow collar - they were pure white, shaped like a feral. Ah well, I'll leave them. There's plenty more quarry to go for down there. Anyway, taking something that easy would just be target practice - it wouldn't feel very sporting.
  3. I thought I'd use a decent sized bit of board and nail the dog food tin to one end of it and, just put a slit in the tin.I'll smear the peanut on the other end There'll be plenty left mate - I haven't even tried the chicken houses by the lake yet
  4. I'm not their biggest fan either - JSB Heavies and a litter picker are the best thing for them We were sat in a hide a while back, watching this rabbit come closer and closer. It must have been about 10 yards away when my mate jumped up shouting and screaming - the rat that had walked onto his lap flew through air, straight out the front of the hide and, the rabbit that we'd been watching, jumped into the air then legged it - it's legs were running before it hit the floor. I was left in the hide alone, absolutely pissing myself :D
  5. It is mate. It's a nice place to just walk and hang around with the rifle. Also, it's only 10 minutes away from me
  6. Those rats were in the dark ..... but they were taken unbaited during a quick first whip round. We're back out there on Thursday. I'm going to treat them to some peanut butter on a board and a split tin of dog food Shooting them was very satisfying. Especially shooting the ones up on the silo and watching/hearing them fall off
  7. It was indeed mate It's been a while since I got a new one. I hadn't been trying very hard but, I have been knocked back by almost every golf club in Wiltshire in the last few months
  8. I'd like a cake made that looks like one of those unwashed, white, middle class antis with greasy dreadlocks. I'd enjoy cutting that
  9. Lol, I think it's about 5 miles from the Rugby club. Oh, I finally put a rear sling stud in my stock
  10. It will mate - there's loads of nooks and crannies. The boundary is a weird shape - it'd be easy to wander onto someone elses land so, I'm sticking to the bits that I know until she sorts me out a map.
  11. I had a new permission confirmed over the weekend and, f**k me it's a good 'un It's not massive but, it's not exactly small either. It's got a big manor house, a farm shop, live stock, woods, fields, poly tunnels, a lake, orchards, grain silos, cricket pitches, hedge rows, pylons and a waterfall The old girl that owns it usually turns down shooting requests but, because I've done some work for her and one of her daughters in the past, I've been given free reign, day or night We popped down there for a short first look last night and only managed to get to one of the orchards and
  12. There were 6 of these on my permission today. They would have presented a very east target - I was able to walk within 6ft of them. But, I wasn't 100% sure if they were legal quarry so, I let them be. I'd say they're white doves. Perhaps just a collard dove with a different pigment. They didn't have any rings on their legs. Any advice/opinions appreciated
