  1. ........ So I thought I'd do some this morning Nothing too scientific, just 5 shots of each from the Daystate Mk3, indoors, 30yrds. I also ran them over the chrono while target testing....... H&N Sniper Magnum - 570.6 fps average - 6 fps variance. Crosman Piranha - 631.4 fps average - 9 fps variance. H&N FTT Power (Copper) - 537 fps average - 43 fps variance. Falcon Accuracy Plus - 790 fps average - 5 fps variance. H&N FTT Green - 861 fps average - 6 fps variance. Prometheus (Plastic shi
  2. Nice shooting Mark Did it take long for them to return after you shot one?
  3. I tried the VC silencer on a .177 a while back. I think it may have been an HW100. It made a chirping sound every time I fired that eventually got on my nerves. I've never tried one on a .25 though. In my opinion, you can't beat the silencers from A&M - they're not the cheapest but, my Marksman is quieter on my HW100 than a Weihrauch, BSA VC, Swift modular and Hogan Decimeter.
  4. Bearing in mind these 2 are pets and have never seen a rat before, I thought they did well ......... There's some old bag that lives a couple of doors away - she feeds everything, foxes, pigeons, seagulls, the lot. Her garden is a shithole. A couple of days ago we had a big rat in our back garden - I'd just spotted it out the corner of my eye when the 2 dogs shot out of the back door like little torpedos. They chased that rat through the bushes and up the garden. They were right on it all the way but, it managed to get over the back gate - how it manage

I can't knock the site because it's good but, the big advert in the middle of the threads is starting to get on my tits.
  6. In addition to the rifle I include some 1" scope mounts/rings, they aren't any fancy brand but they did the trick with the Hawke 3-9x50 I had on the rifle. They look like Sportsmatch mounts - good mounts. I won't use anything elso on my air rifles That's a good set up for someone.
  7. This one must be more to your approval
  8. Nice word indeed mate Rez'll love that selfie
  9. A lot of the leaves are down on my permissions. It's mostly sycamore, oak, chestnut and a fair few pines - it's perfect for DPM camo at the moment.
  10. To be fair Matt, it doesn't sound like you had a bad trip out mate. ......... You managed to put a few rabbits out of their misery and, hopefully help reduce the spread of mixy a little. And, of course, seeing a red squirrel in the flesh is a big bonus
  11. I'm not sure on this one I've got no problem with them hunting but, continuing when the animal is in a residential area seems a bit over the top. Maybe they should have shot it sooner after it got into the area, rather than giving the amount viewers time to build up. Either way, it's their country and their gig. ....... From some of the posts above, they certainly sound like they have a better attitude to hunting than our general public
  12. After just three weeks he was ready to quit, only seeing out the term after a pep talk from his mother. Poof! Couldn't hack a full time job teaching a class of 8yr olds My day starts at 6am, ends at 6pm. Lunch is a rushed sandwich in the warehouse. The work is usually heavy and, I have numerous targets to hit. ........ I love my job That pillock just needs to man up and accept the fact that he'll actually have to earn a wage one day.
  13. Wow We got them leave a dust image at work when they fly into the windows sometimes but, I've never seen it as detailed as that. That's almost eerie
  14. I hope the weather's better there mate - the heavens have just opened here.
  15. That's looking nice Matt What oil are you using?
  16. Take solice in the knowledge that that scum bag is going to spend the next few years with lots of blokes that are no stranger to violence yet, love their kids - that scumbag will live in fear knowing that they will get him, more than once or twice
  17. I just looked again - it seems to have gone now mate
  18. Enjoy it mate I know you didn't like the screen type so, hopefully this'll suit you better
  19. f**k me If I ever saw that, I'd give it the fat end of the rifle and, I'd NEVER go back
  20. That's a nice place to be out Eddy Did you not see that rabbit in the second picture?
  21. Just heard on the news that there are kids and a pregnant woman among the dead The problem is, the country has a lot of guns in circulation and, it has it's fair share of nutters - these incidents won't stop. Rip to the victims.
  22. She's a total wrong 'un - she ruined kids lives by lining them up for those scumbags. I hope she beaten and miserable wherever they put her.
  23. I like this time of year for hunting - there's less leaves on the trees and, the grass and stinging nettles die back a bit. I seem to do best on the rabbits when the nights are cold and a little misty. Summer is good but, Autumn/Winter is my favourite time to be out
