  1. I've said it before and I'll say it again if the ban was lifted tomorrow it wouldn't effect me or 90% of lads I know. Them days are gone now fellers just enjoy what little we have left before that goes the same way.
  2. Bloody hell I wouldn't fancy tangling with a presa x akita! I gotta say that's one breed I've never seen a really good one of the presa. Seen one or 2 look the business in a yard or on a chain yet put abit of pressure on him or take him out the place he knows and wasn't all that. Also there well known for turning abit funny with there owners. I'm sure there's gooduns out there but I like abit of trust in a dog not worrying whether it gonna turn and do me some serious harm.
  3. I mainly shoot milbros but for those who like cheap throwaway catties I was given a cut figure 8 climbing clip and for the price it's the bollox will take flats or tubes fits my Hand lovely and accurate I've taken loads of pheasant pigeons and waterfowl to some good distance too I'm not messing with photobucket any more but got plenty of pics trust me lads give one a try and I think you will be pleased you can knock one up for well under £20 and no worries slinging it in a hedge if needs be. Been using mine with double theraband black and well pleased with power and accuracy.
  4. Anyone got any herder crosses ? Got 2 young dogs here finding game all the time and get stuck in when the lurcher rolls something. Seen 2 first crosses but abit heavy and slow for my needs look liked they would have been great around cover though. Also see the gsd taking a lot of flack there's still gooduns out there if you know where to look.
  5. Very nice boris he's in fine fettle im kicking meself here lol all the very best with him ??
  6. I hear otters are playing havoc with the local barbel and carp populations a crying shame but it's the wildfowl there affecting most I'd say meself.
  7. Do you find feeding a lot of venison can be abit rich for dogs ? Feed mine a lot but I try to feed it with something else.
  8. Most of my dogs diet is made up of lamb some of the best flesh you can feed a dog in my opinion. Never had any problems ever with stock also feed a lot of chicken but dogs I have here won't touch them alive.
  9. Like all types of fishing but will never again get into that Carp fishing on still waters never met so many divs in all my life most of them antis aswell. It's the silly pictures and naming fish I can't get me head around either much rather spend an evening on the barbel or grayling.
  10. lol sure enough mate . They ain't interested in computers or play stations . I rung up there dad the other day and said " put one of the boys on for a chat ? He said I can't they're outside building a go cart lol old school matehow they should be mate got a couple younger brothers wouldn't know how to turn a PlayStation on but know abit about lurchers ferrets chickens and catties nice to see all the very best to the boys ?
  11. A good bit of time with the family training some other dogs that arnt lurchers bit of fishing and just enjoying them long days. All the very best to everyone hope to see yas all back next season ?
  12. That bitch is in good condition nice to see. Bill hardy I've kept one back out of 3 knpv line Dutch herder pups you wouldn't bielieve the amount of people that ask is it a staff/gsd some head to it for a young dog.
  13. From what I seen bull on both sides throws bigger the dogs than first crosses Tomo.
  14. I have to say those little dogs around cover allways seem to get something rolled over owned a small bull/grey about 23tts had allsorts of venison on big bracken banks and around bramble and heavy woodland sport of kings.
  15. Not everyone who's working bull x is using them to take things with teeth but I get what your saying if your only catching a few a season you'll do ok with them smaller faster types I expect but when you start giving them a good bit of stick youll see why a lot have tried em and gone back to tried and tested bull /greyhound. Atvb
  16. Is that an airsporter ? Cracking rifles them still got an old pre war one.
  17. So when I asked about 2 pups you bred bieng for sale and you told me they done nowt had been left in a pen and the lads that bought em hoodwinked you why wernt you there getting em back ? Genuine qestion ?
  18. cheers, theres a farm shop up the road might have that dry cow gear..wat way does that work. Couldn't honestly tell you how it works but I've put a few onto it and they've all said its done the job. Comes in a little syringe squirt it straight in after cleaning wound should look brand new next day.
  19. That second picture is awesome and second from last I'd have framed NL fair play ??
  20. Beast I wouldn't be using antibiotic every time me dog got a nip or cut. Some things best ain't said on here but for bites hydro peroxide 6% well diluted for the first flush the rest with warm salty water keep a close eye on it any sign of infection then get the ABs out. its hard to get but dry cow is some of the best stuff I've ever used for this sort of thing. You see a lot of people just chucking cut n heal or purple spray on a cut without cleaning it this is asking for trouble in my honest opinion. Obviously if your out of your depth or dog is suffering a vet needs called that goes
  21. with lurchers I like to keep dogs but me old man has allways kept bitches he reckons you keep them fit and well worked it supresses there seasons. Not sure how much truth in it like.
  22. Not tried it do you have a link of where to buy some please ? I rate green for lead red for steel.
  23. Must be some weather up your way top dog it's got a summer coat and is in hard antler.
  24. What close gaurded lines are these?I know of couple. Any names of any dogs. There was debate while ago i enjoyed. I think it was debate of northern. Billy bred dogs. Bred by R. Spiderpig old member had alot of his stuff. Vs a southrn line of bull x. Havoc/punch stuff. I do know the southern dogs are alot fewer an further between in peopled kennels. Quite common for a reece.billy line dog or of r breeding end up anywhere really. Seen some right idiots claiming he ran to own this line. Or i could me completly mistaken ... i know where my money would be anyway se
  25. My mates old Bull X was a jacker on teeth but was very handy on the bigger stuff, it ended up a cull in the end though.. The only advice I would give fa those who required a full on vermin Buul xs try ta get the those from long tested lines if one can the best are not always available to all and sundry and even hen luck plays a part ,one how good a handler one his if one can understand the animals needs .atb bunnys. The real decent bull/greyhounds and there close relations would be wasted on 95% of folk in the lurcher game now. Can't remember the last time I see one I really liked.Deffo mate,
