  1. Something that was pointed out to me one day is is it really needed to bleed deer like we all do ? As what comes out can't be all the blood in the animals body surely ?
  2. Can't beat bieng by the river first thing see allsorts mist coming off the water good time to be out. Only thing that drives me mad is getting eaten alive lol Looks a good little evening socks.
  3. Come and get a fly fishing lesson, it's by far the "nicest" way of fishing. I'll do mates rates for ya . You can then have a look at my dangerous dogs . Thanks for the offer Might take you up on that August/September time lee ? Not for the fly fishing though that's just not me haha be nice to have a walk out and see how dangerous your dogs are to the local bunny population more than owt lol ??
  4. I've seen one of these not as a competition dog as a very serious family protector and the dog was mustard under testing and I don't mean barking at a stranger or hitting a sleeve. Very good dogs in the right hands.
  5. Spot on stiff fair play I think that's why this can work with bull/greyhounds and saluki/greyhounds so well as its 2 breeds in the make up where as when your using proper lurchers it can muddy the water a fair bit and unexpected stuff can pop up down the line.
  6. Seen it a lot in chickens seems to work for some and not for others just make sure whatever your using is sound and shouldn't be a problem.
  7. I know of a dog took everything in its first season smaller deer in numbers fox hares day and night rabbits would bring a shot bird to hand was marking warrens and snapping up bolters as a pup bring a fish out of water find and flush stuff. To me that's just a handy dog to have around a proper allrounder is abit harder to find.
  8. any photo's c green of your dutchies.?after some of the stuff that been said on here past couple of days about shepherds no mate none to go up on the forum. i wouldn't worry about what anybody say's on here to much.probably more to do with ignorance than expertise.let's have a look. If your desperate to see them drop me a PM.
  9. any photo's c green of your dutchies.?no mate none to go up on the forum.
  10. Go and have a chat with someone who knows what there on about mate it's not really the breed you should be worried about its the atitude of individual dogs. I've 2 young Dutch herders and they are like chalk and cheese one would make a cracking yard dog the other would be shit but will bite no trouble if told. If your after something just to watch your garden be careful with a Mali. there not really that sort of dog.ive seen a Tibetan mastiff the other day shit was not he word remember anything too big is a job to hold back sometimes and it's your responsibility to make sure the dog don't
  11. Cheers lads dc I've tried worms and maggots had abit of luck with them but I hate messing around having to pop to tackle shop I just have a few casts when the fancy takes me or weathers abit warm for trotting dogs. Do them flies work at night/early morning katchum ?
  12. That fly fishing is not abit of me lads lol it's a free stretch I walk/jog the dogs down every morning and evening just take me little telescopic and a loaf of bread normally but they seem wise to it now. It's not stocked and most fish get chucked back. Seems abit shallow for a spinner I know nothing about flies or fly fishing the flies I'm using I found on the bank one day in a little grey box honestly couldn't tell you what they are lol
  13. Everyone says this but I've never had much luck with it tbh.
  14. Anyone got any good little setups/bait for catching trout from a tiny shallow ginclear chalk stream ? Used minnow and free lined bread but can't seem to get them taking of the top lately. Plenty there good sizes too
  15. Think some are getting there yard dogs comfused with protection/competition dogs
  16. u should check out a dog from dublin called mosley on google type mrtruedogs all one word .i think he is dead now.woking bulldog x d shepard. cheers for that. iam not any good at putting up clips.lads might be also interested in best attacks knpv championships 2016.i will hopfully get to this yrs championships. What did you mean you'd avoid that shepherd on the last page? It looks like a nicely put together and strong animal to me. if he were a horse i would liken him too a very common half bred national hunt horse.if u look at any off thee ddr shepards i think their like chalk a
  17. Get yourself one of the big army surplus bags and fit a cut down drum in it. Battery in the bottom rabbits killed and dropped over your shoulder. No messing about with zips or trying to put them on a carrier.
  18. That's not a hell of a bargain for beef and depending how it's been dried you willLose a lot of the goodness in the process ... you can get beef mince for between 50 - 70p a lb from most pet food suppliers ....... And considering I can get chicken carcasses for £6 for 20 kgs then it's dam expensive ........ I was getting that chicken carcass but found it had either been in freezer for a long time or when I was picking it fresh from the chicken place it was more bone than anything. Do you find yours ok ? I got to another supplier now £7 for 15kg I get it in bulk now so slight discount and
  19. I think with a lot of these coursing dogs you see for sale sometimes it's just there too scared to get em out and see what there made of. Never been able to get me head around lads parting with young saplings that 8 to 12 months old. You see plenty of people buy good breeding then when it comes to working age there looking to part with it I think it's just too much hassle for some folk running the dog.
  20. That 3rd from last is a belter got a good look about him.
  21. There whippets that kill foxes doesn't mean if you wanted a fox dog you would go buy a whippet does it ? Seen some good coursing dogs do everything aswell as the usual stuff but thing is for the amount that are bred your bound to get the odd one that is a goodun I've found 90% of them need abit of something else if your doing anything other than hares and the odd roe deer.
  22. You joking? That'd draw the little pricks to them like flies to shiit! We don't have basic accountability down yet,I'd prefer we start with that and see what happens. No , The pricks will be sick after watching Tyson getting juiced for no insuranc I cannot for the life of me understand why the breeders are not held accountable alongside the owners They'd probably move on to other breeds like Alsations, Malinois or Ovcharkas. If they faced restrictions then they'd end up backyard breeding dangerously aggressive Labradors.I don't think so meself. I've seen a few young lads by the
  23. Got storm stripe vipa and Dutch. Allways liked them old school names like fly or jet for a bitch.
