Wonky fruit.., and the way TV chefs, supermarkets etc. try and sell this shit as some sort of eco-heroism, or the equivalent of rescuing a puppy. It’s all just a big con. You don’t see KFC advertising their new range of family bucket made from mutated chickens. Why the fcuk would I want to buy a three legged carrot that takes three times as long to peel as a big straight one? Idiots.

I am surprised your FX doesn't like them as I have seen a few of the FX team in the US use them at fac levels with really good results.

Actually you may not need self adhesive as it may well just hold in place under pressure of the neoprene but they do have self adhesive neoprene pieces on ebay. Phil

Tarantula Trap -extremely rare
Sonny Sixkiller replied to Sonny Sixkiller's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
Yes, this is a fish trap. A rather crude out take of the S. W. Evans' Eagle Claw fish trap. More like an upside umbrella than a tarantula! One needs three hands to set this powerful trap. Very awkward to set. -

Am I right in saying these lads are bank rolled by youngsters paying to see what they post? God be with the days you gave the young lads a tenner on a Friday evening for pocket money and you knew the few evils there were going to spend it on. I haven’t watched the programme but I’ll try during the week. I’ve said here before a few times if you really want to suss out a bloke for whatever reason just see how he treats his wife and family it’s all that really matters in the end isn’t it?

I'im supposed to be attending college next month for the spraying course, I've never liked the idea of spraying chemicals on the land, didn't they find some link between glyphosate or some other weedkiller and parkinsons disease some years ago?. Anyway it's to be included in one of the many courses I get put through, so will go down to do it, but I will avoid any use of the stuff during work

Fair point definitely. I have just watched it. I actually get where some of it comes from, the fashion that is demonising of white heterosexual men in certain sections of society is unsettling to some. I felt the tikkytokky guy came across as immature and a bit insecure, but guess kids won’t see that. Social media platforms have the ability to amplify opinion out of proportion to reality if no-one puts out any counter argument. I’d treat these freak shows no different to the tranny pedlars, or the race baiters and either ignore or ridicule them. My boy is 16, and I think very similar to h

Tarantula Trap -extremely rare
mackem replied to Sonny Sixkiller's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
One thing it ain’t is for catching tarantulas when I first joined this forum there was a huge trap auction in Reading, some old bloke had died and had a collection of weird and wonderful traps from around the world.OTC who used to be on here was there.I saw a fish trap, for pike, that reminded me of this trap.Multiple prongs for holding a slippery fish and a bait hook. -

That is what i thought it was ,hence why i have asked. I think it was something alive and tied onto the hook some how, maybe a locust or something along those lines..
