Each to their own, some lovely story’s here and I can fully appreciate them all. Personally though, I have always hated the over inflated smorgasbord of gluttony, consumerism and “once a year” love in that is Christmas ! I don't have to try, Gooey. I've owned a few dogs that were good hare catchers/killers. I just don't see the point in fooling myself that they were coursing dogs. Anyway, Gooey, where are these 500 yard slips you keep promising us? 8, 9 or 10-15 yards isn't what you told us you'd be sharing on here.

I've a Fenix HT18. It's impressive and can be used for lamping. There's a newer version offering even better performance. Whatever brand you use i suggest looking at the HT18 specifications as that's where you need to be for lumens , range etc Personally, being pocketable it has a place, but I don't use it as first choice and much prefer a conventional lamp like a clulite

We wait till all the kids grandkids arrive then the Mrs is out with the bacon , fried egg or square sausage rolls then the grandkids get wired into there presents the kids are a bit more subdued with there's then the wife and i open ours i usually start reading a book i have received while the kids are playing with there toys and watching tv . I agree with bits mate the first slip if I went long the road is half a mile away so I arked around so it went to the open but I had to slip to thick cover so I needed the dog on it the second short slip its coming in dark looked dead quick.and it took the dog fields turned into a 5 minute run
