Just looking through a popular online site for selling items and found 40+ assorted Falconry magazines for sale! Don't know how to put a link on or even if i'm allowed ? Just thought it seams like someones having a clear out and maybe of interest to another falconer , I keep my eye on the site for Falconry books , don't think the wife would appreciate a pile of magazines as well.

Use one of the ducks/geese or chickens that Charlie has already killed, cut it open if not already.

Cogswell And Harrison Over And Under
Rowan replied to Rowan's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Thanks mate , the gun I looked at was 28" barrels they make them in both 30" & 28". The thing about this gun that drew my attention is how similar it is to a silver pigeon , infact the for the slim forend and stock are almost identical . As you've said and I have mentioned it just seems a lot of gun for the money , usually if anything is too good to be true stay clear , BUT this really has me wondering. I'm far from new to field sports and have a pest control business , I've shot all manner of firearms from a young age both competitively and for my own enjoyment. However i'm wil -

did your staffie not catch rats mate , mine does , but I must admit there are faster, more agile breeds about . Saying that I re-homed mine and never did find out what he is crossed with , definitely not pure staffie . He loves kids / gets on well with other dogs , not sure if they all do , I guess i'm just lucky. Whatever you get sounds like your in for a busy time , oh and welcome.. -
Im aware what you mean, about rat & mouse control ?,...& i suppose you could say 'poisons' a tradition, for these pests too ? lol,.....but im afraid, i wouldnt say the "gas" is "humane" ? I thought i read somewhere , that it could well be more difficult in future, for some poisons/rodenticides, to still be available, for the 'pest control' industry ?,....some will be 'withdrawn/unsupported', etc,.......as they come up for review ? (dont know enough about it, though lol) I also hope these new rules, stop the untrained 'farmers' from aquiring the 'ali phosphide' ?,...cause i know a

Already shoot a Berretta Silver Pigeon game gun ,.bought it nearly 21 years ago brand spanking new , I was told it was one of the first into the country. . At that time I shot in The British Open , when I had more time and money to practice and travel and Beretta where there showing the launch of the new model off. Although I do shoot it a lot , I am still interested in a new , decent game gun for the above reasons. I'm not that new to shooting I've only had a license for 35 years , so am just getting the hang of it. But I am very interested to know why you do not rate these guns , -
Yes mate , I can understand you being gutted at catching that . I've been a ferreting man for about 35 years and that would sicken me , but sh1t happens , sorry to see it , give him a decent burial and crack on with the rats .

Which .22Lr Eley Ammunition For Club / Sport?
Rowan replied to David Aiken's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Eley club is a decent round if you are a bit more serious use eley match , only slightly less fliers . If you want to get into shooting match cards and build your yearly average up go for Tennex , but the price increases between the three. Each of these is more than adequate , then you can only blame yourself. -
.22Lr Semi Auto Rifle Options With 6 Shot Magazine?
Rowan replied to dodger_moore's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
For your hunting rifle opt for a CZ452 , for your targets use an Anshutz target rifle . the best of both worlds then. -

Exactly what I thought why not give it ago , after all there are one or two decent gunmakers in Italy I believe !!! -
Just wondering if anyone has tried a Cogswell and Harrison over and under Windsor game gun.It looks a decent gun to me for the money , was wondering if it would make a good rough shooting / pigeon gun ?
-
That must be them jaspers I've heard off .

All good advice , practice , practice , practice . lead is definitely purseaved by the individual . that is what is a five bar gate's worth to someone , ( yes I have heard that on a shoot ) is 2 ft to someone else. Lessons are a great starting point , but stay safe and enjoy .

No frost here to speak off yet!!!, but the dear owld farmers do love to cut the hedges , blackthorn bits everywhere , keep pulling thorns out off the dog , he is not happy.

Hi Chris , looks like we cover the same sort of area , we're not the only ones though... just wish the bigger national companies would stay off scaring moles and making them trap shy , that would be slightly easier , but ain't life grand in sunny Norfolk............
