Thanks , was thinking of Ficam W , I must admit , but have got so used to just using cimetrol .
Basically i'm after effectiveness against the full life cycle , safe to use for me and the customer , non staining , cost not really a factor within reason,( don't tell the reps).
Looks like Good old Ficam ....
Just thought it was best to check , especially with all the added extra work , set traps on the SSSI , in 5 acres of gardens and gassed rabbits in a small woodland today, all for the same person.
Thanks lads for pointing me in the right direction , Natural England where very helpful and gave me the go-ahead today to trap the moles on the SSSI without restrictions.
Your welcome mate , a regular part time job is a great start , believe me there was no one more worried about starting a new business than me , put the time in to start and eventually you will reap the rewards.
I would usually do all of the above , gassing is my last choice , but as two other ,"pest controllers" , have tried and had no noticeably impact on the numbers. I've been contacted for gassing only;the same people own/manage this land and the SSSI .
Many thanks for all your replies, sounds like it will be o.k. then , but i'll contact Natural England just to be on the safe side. really do not want some busy body sticking their nose in until I am sure it's o.k.
Hope it works out as it's a big job, plus on a nearby piece of land , not part of the SSSI they have a major rabbit problem and also want me to control the bunnies with Phostoxin. The reason being a couple of people have tried shooting , but have not dented the numbers at all.
I was asked today to price a mole trapping job on a piece of land that had never been trapped , so thought I better have a look first. It was only when I got there that the lady said ,"oh by the way this is an SSSI " , so can you still trap here ?
So, can anyone please give me the answer or point me in the right direction to find out , Cheers.
