I’ve only a vague idea what he did on a talent show years ago, no idea what he’s been up to in recent years. Never did me any harm, but he’s obviously wronged a few on here given some of the snide comments.

I’ve just hit my half century, so now got a lot less of most things in front of me, than I have behind me. Although I get the occasional pang of nostalgia for my younger years, I wouldn’t want to go back and be a youngster coming up now. Quite content growing into a grumpy old barsteward, and feel in very good company here. Bunch of tossers.

Sky will sack Souness…, then Carragher, Keane and Redknapp.., to be replaced by a load of box ticking homosexuals, BAMEs, trans-athletes…, none of which have been remotely near the elite level of football. Neville will survive the cut due to him being mentally retarded…, and Micah Richards too, despite being mentally retarded, but because he already ticks another box.

Reckon I might get AJ v Usyk without moaning about the PPV price ? Be interesting to see what Joshua can come up with to try and turn it around. Thought he did well to learn from the Ruiz ko, in reverting to boxing to get the win. Think Usyk is a level above that, and don’t see Joshua outboxing him, or trying to. Hopefully Joshua can draw him into a brawl and land something to trouble Usyk. I won’t be betting my life savings on it though.

Spot on. A match that I don’t think would ever have been made had it not been for their fathers history. I’d guess it’s a good earner for both fighters, but one that Eubank needs at this stage more than Benn? I don’t see anything but a comfortable Eubank win with potential for Benn to get hurt that might impact his career. Eubank says its lose-lose for him, and win-win for Benn, but not for me.

I remember Hibs casuals (baby crew, so young teens) doing it in the 80’s, going into shops in big numbers and lifting piles of gear all at once before making off with it. The odd slow one got caught, but most got away. I always thought they were copying what the scousers were doing…, correct me if I’m wrong. Not a black face amongst them mind you, so at least back then they were our own petty thieves ?

this is what happens when you try and save the world

Not callous at all, just plain common sense. But it’s actually worse than that in my opinion. A whole industry has been created with dog rescues from outside the UK, which is every bit as bad if not worse than the puppy factories in Ireland etc. Sister in law got a wee dog from Romania earlier this year, proper bitsa-mix thing, with a terrible over bite. Other than a couple of photos, she never clapped eyes on it till she’d paid over £400 and it was dropped off by some dodgy looking cnut in a van. Thing is she genuinely thinks she’s saved this wee thing’s neck, whereas in reality she’s ju -
You’ll love these guys…, tracking giant hornets back to the nest by gluing a streamer to one, then following it home with a drone.

Was at Perth races yesterday and there were hundreds of the little fcukers. Think it might be the worst year in a while for wasps ?

Kettles and pots, leopards and spots. A fine return to form, turning threads into a bickering match, by one of THL’s finest. Fcukin tedious.

Wildcat strikes on blue book sites up and down the country today. Reckon we’ll see more organised/coordinated action before long.

A winter of discontent looming. Up the workers ?

Surely got to be a contender for fight of the year. The switch hitting from the lad in the jeans was causing all sorts of problems.., as was his shoulder roll/look in completely the opposite direction, defence. Think the lad in the shorts managed to drop himself with more of his own shots than he actually landed on his opponent. Can’t help thinking that at least one of them wasn’t the full shilling.., and the cnut doing the filming was taking a bit of a liberty. At least no-one got hurt ?

Tragic situation, but think it’s best thing he’s at peace now. RIP wee man.

Would love too see this act on BGT. They’d need to measure the offence and outrage on the Richter scale.

Not surprised in the slightest. And any notion that the queen hasn’t had her royal palms greased like this for decades is laughable. Shower of crooks and nonces, the country would be better without the lot of them.

The voice of Jackanory and The Wombles, a staple in my formative years. Think he did a few fishing things for TV too. Born in 1928, he’ll have seen a bit of life in that time. RIP

Jumping in a plastic box next to a 2 tonne can opener, fcuking awesome idea. Are the Darwin awards still a thing ?

Couldn’t name my top five, but one of the books which had the greatest impact on me was Trainspotting by Irvine Welsh. I read it before the film was made, and it blew my fcuking mind. I’ve read most of his novels, my favourite probably being Skag Boys. I read Crime on holiday a few weeks back, and found it slow and a bit of a chew, until about 3/4 of the way through the story when, sat by the pool, I was left in tears by a ‘scene’ in the book. It came totally out the blue, and I’m just glad I had my sunnies on ? Something about the power of the written word. I should really read more often.

I read A Kestrel For A Knave a couple of weeks ago, probably nearly 40 years after I first read it. I remember like it was yesterday getting it from the library, after watching Kes for the first time. Still a good wee read, and this time round brought loads of nostalgia from reading it a a kid, but also remembering my misspent youth, walking through woods and along hedgerows nesting, and scanning the skies for Kestrels (realistically the only raptor I was likely to see local).

Must have been severely traumatised or a total whacko. Surely after decades of not seeing the enemy you’d either think, maybe these farmers are right and the war is over…, or I’m not even in this fight, might as well get to fcuk out of here and see where all the action is. Hardly serving your country, hiding in the woods for 30 years.

Bonfire record attempt in northern ireland

Great achievement building the highest stack of pallets in history ? Don’t see what all the fuss is about mind. Burning effigies of catholics, pictures of nationalist MP’s, Palestine flags, and banners reading ‘kill all taigs’ is centuries old culture right? Like the anti catholic marches in Scotland they’re a fcuking abomination in the 21st century.., and the majority of Scottish society find the whole thing cringeworthy…, and me personally I find it utterly cowardly. I’m not catholic, but know many who are, including some family, and have never felt any compulsion to remind them of a battle
