  1. Kettles and pots, leopards and spots. A fine return to form, turning threads into a bickering match, by one of THL’s finest. Fcukin tedious.
  2. Wildcat strikes on blue book sites up and down the country today. Reckon we’ll see more organised/coordinated action before long.
  3. A winter of discontent looming. Up the workers ?
  4. Surely got to be a contender for fight of the year. The switch hitting from the lad in the jeans was causing all sorts of problems.., as was his shoulder roll/look in completely the opposite direction, defence. Think the lad in the shorts managed to drop himself with more of his own shots than he actually landed on his opponent. Can’t help thinking that at least one of them wasn’t the full shilling.., and the cnut doing the filming was taking a bit of a liberty. At least no-one got hurt ?
  5. Tragic situation, but think it’s best thing he’s at peace now. RIP wee man.
  6. Would love too see this act on BGT. They’d need to measure the offence and outrage on the Richter scale.
  7. Not surprised in the slightest. And any notion that the queen hasn’t had her royal palms greased like this for decades is laughable. Shower of crooks and nonces, the country would be better without the lot of them.
  8. The voice of Jackanory and The Wombles, a staple in my formative years. Think he did a few fishing things for TV too. Born in 1928, he’ll have seen a bit of life in that time. RIP

    ohh shit

Jumping in a plastic box next to a 2 tonne can opener, fcuking awesome idea. Are the Darwin awards still a thing ?
  10. Couldn’t name my top five, but one of the books which had the greatest impact on me was Trainspotting by Irvine Welsh. I read it before the film was made, and it blew my fcuking mind. I’ve read most of his novels, my favourite probably being Skag Boys. I read Crime on holiday a few weeks back, and found it slow and a bit of a chew, until about 3/4 of the way through the story when, sat by the pool, I was left in tears by a ‘scene’ in the book. It came totally out the blue, and I’m just glad I had my sunnies on ? Something about the power of the written word. I should really read more often.
  11. I read A Kestrel For A Knave a couple of weeks ago, probably nearly 40 years after I first read it. I remember like it was yesterday getting it from the library, after watching Kes for the first time. Still a good wee read, and this time round brought loads of nostalgia from reading it a a kid, but also remembering my misspent youth, walking through woods and along hedgerows nesting, and scanning the skies for Kestrels (realistically the only raptor I was likely to see local).
  12. Must have been severely traumatised or a total whacko. Surely after decades of not seeing the enemy you’d either think, maybe these farmers are right and the war is over…, or I’m not even in this fight, might as well get to fcuk out of here and see where all the action is. Hardly serving your country, hiding in the woods for 30 years.
  13. Great achievement building the highest stack of pallets in history ? Don’t see what all the fuss is about mind. Burning effigies of catholics, pictures of nationalist MP’s, Palestine flags, and banners reading ‘kill all taigs’ is centuries old culture right? Like the anti catholic marches in Scotland they’re a fcuking abomination in the 21st century.., and the majority of Scottish society find the whole thing cringeworthy…, and me personally I find it utterly cowardly. I’m not catholic, but know many who are, including some family, and have never felt any compulsion to remind them of a battle
  14. My prediction is that it’ll get much, much worse in the next couple of decades. Youngsters (in general) now won’t have the standard of living their parents had, but are conditioned to believe they can have it all…, so have a huge disappointment round the corner. A generation of kids coming up who have poor social skills, no resilience, and a belief that if anyone is mean to them, or if they ‘feel offended’ in any way, then the world should be made to apologise. Any study of human nature in the millennia we’ve inhabited this planet will tell you that can’t be sustained. I think high bridge
  15. If he’d done nothing except for his role as Sonny in The Godfather, then he’s still died a legend. RIP

Bulgaria.., it’s the future Rodney. Check out what your money buys here (filter on lowest price). /pvw/images/favicons/rebranded/logo-share-fb.png WWW.RIGHTMOVE.CO.UK Search over a Million properties for sale and to rent from the top estate... Turkey

In Antalya just now. Beautiful in places, but wouldn’t want to live here. Always fancied retiring to somewhere in the med, maybe Greece or Cyprus. Got woken at dawn this morning by some fcuker wailing that it was time to get up and pray.., for a minute I thought I was in Bradford. Second time I’ve been to one of these all inc. resorts. There’s a lot to like, but probably 95+% Russians (guests & staff), that’s the downside. Guess we’d consider them rude & impolite, but suppose its just their way. Not nice to be around though.
  18. Don’t see him leaving anytime soon. Proved that no amount of reprehensible behaviour, breaking the ministerial code and generally letting down the electorate, is enough for him to do the decent thing. I predict this’ll only end after ‘big dog’ takes hostages, a three day siege, tense negotiations which will ultimately fail, and the storming of No. 10 where Johnson and his captives all die in a hail of bullets. At least that’s how I hope it ends.
  19. My blood boils when I watch some of these car chases in the UK.., fcukin halfwits doing 80mph through a town in broad daylight trying to outrun the police…, and then they get a ban and poxy suspended sentence if they actually get caught. I’d like to see UK coppers riddle a car with bullets for taking off.., might make it a lot less frequent occurrence.
  20. One of my favourite albums of the nineties, or maybe ever.
  21. Think it could be legit, some big nine year olds, and power to weight feasible imo, and with good technique? That said, it wouldn’t be my daughter. I’ve always stopped mine picking up heavy weights, be it helping move slabs in the garden, or lifting dumbbells in the garage. No way I’d want them getting a bad back injury at a young age, it could fcuk them up for life.
