  1. Think I relate to Frank more than anyone I know in real life ?
  2. Comedy, like music, food etc all about taste. One man’s meat etc. I do like Peter Kay’s stand up. Gervais’ most recent stand up is okay.., probably like it as he goes after the wokey cancel culture stuff. Also, I rate The Office and Afterlife as works of utter genius. Others will disagree, and that’s okay. My favourite stand-up watch just now is still Bill Burr (quite a bit on Netflix). For anyone like me who thinks the world’s gone mad with all the BLM, gender and women’s rights nonsense, you’d probably relate to him. And when you look at the sh!te the likes of BBC and even Ch4 are servi
  3. Just came across this angle. Reminded me of Shirley Crabtree (Big Daddy)and World of Sport in the 80’s? What a fcuking walloper.
  4. Just seen a clip of John Fury stripped to the waist inviting Jake Paul (apparently holder of the Youtube world championship) for a scrap. Think his son Tommy (a pro who had fought no-one of any substance yet?) was also ‘held back’ from squaring up to him at the weekend. Apparently these are ‘real fighting men’. Nothing more than a pantomime. The sooner this Fury lot go back to goading each other on Youtube for bare knuckle bouts in gypsy yards and farm lanes the better. Leave boxing to real boxing people. Same goes for the empty vessels that are Jake Paul and his type. Always rattling on about
  5. Bent double, like old beggars under sacks, Knock-kneed, coughing like hags, we cursed through sludge, Till on the haunting flares we turned our backs And towards our distant rest began to trudge. Men marched asleep. Many had lost their boots But limped on, blood-shod. All went lame, all blind; Drunk with fatigue; deaf even to the hoots Of tired, outstripped Five-Nines that dropped behind. Gas! GAS! Quick, boys! – An ecstasy of fumbling, Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time; But someone still was yelling out and stumbling And flound’ring like a man in fire or lime …
  6. With a heid the size of his, no danger!
  7. A decent one, in a decent pub, with decent company.., and maybe even a wee bit of live music, I can’t see past it. I hope if there is a heaven then this is what it looks like.
  8. Good film, but never understood the use of that song, especially sung in its original Scot’s tongue. Regards the channel, the guns would be pointing the wrong way, they should be pointing at the people organising and facilitating the crossings, and the inept politicians who should be preventing it. I don’t understand the hatred toward some Afghani or Somali kid trying to make a better life for himself, fcuk knows if the roles were reversed I’d be on a boat doing the same. That doesn’t mean I want them here any more than you do though.
  9. Cheating a bit as not a movie, but used to bring the curtain down on Still Game…, one of the most iconic sitcoms Scotland has produced this generation. Don’t think twice it’s alright by Bob Dylan. Just beautiful.

    Madonna

Imagine that was your mother ? Always been an ar5ehole, but she’s obviously desperate to try and remain relevant. Probably best to ignore her.
  11. Didn’t see it, but saw the thermal imaging cam shots of hares at Wild Ken Hill the other night on Autumnwatch. Talk about numbers…, it looked like a scene from a pre-mxy Aussie rabbit plague. Fields were full of them. What you’d give for a couple of unmolested days kicking round those fields with a few good lurchers.
  12. Maybe a bit ironic even, I’ve wondered if Max is ‘all there’ so to speak…, and I don’t mean that in a nasty way. I had a few back and forths with him years ago, but it was like trying to reason with a drunk man…, like whenever you presented incontrovertible facts to back your argument, he’d just change the subject and so his angle of attack. He suffers from the same verbal diarrhoea that Tyson Fury does (imho). I actually think he’s made decent contributions to a lot of topics I’ve read, but then the tit-for-tat squabbling he gets into with a lot of members on here lets him down, and has
  13. I felt at the time Eubank Jr v Benn was announced it would be a walkover for Eubank as he’d just be too big. Assume that Benn took what he dod to try and close the gap? Think the match was all wrong for Benn, and you’ve got to blame his manager and the people around him for that.
  14. Bill Conti - Going the Distance. Will forever be Rocky, but as a piece of ‘classical’ music I think it stands up against most. Think the way it builds up in layers is just brilliant.
  15. Cavalleria rusticana. The end of The Godfather part 3, and the death of Michael Corleone. Beautiful piece of music.
  16. Hopefully burning in great balls of fire in hell tonight.., along with Presley. Pair of dirty ‘stoat-the-baw’ ba5tards.
  17. It’s not the size of the dog in the fight that counts, it’s the size of the fight in the dog.
  18. All the lines are straight
  19. Apparently said something which upset the jews.., not exactly difficult. This is apparently his apology. Two minutes of utter gibberish. The guy needs help imo. Anyone giving him air time now needs to have a long hard look at themselves too.
  20. Take your point, but think the two scenarios I mentioned above were 100% genuine. Having cameras on nests 24/7 has ‘caught’ lots of predation by all manner of things from stoats, otters, mink, rats, bops and even hedgehogs. There’s a been a few good ‘one in a million’ clips and images sent in by the public…, the weasel on green woodpecker being an example. Different strokes etc…, it piques my interest anyway.
